Pregnant again after 3 miscarriages

I’m 40 and had never managed to conceive before this year. Unfortunately, I’ve had nothing but heartache, losing each one in early miscarriages, 3 since January 2021. The longest I managed to carry for was 8 weeks, but only as it a missed miscarriage.
I just found out yesterday that we’re pregnant again, and I am absolutely terrified of miscarriage happening again.
I’ve been given cyclogest which I started last night and I’m waiting for the nurse to let me know if I need to use aspirin or anything.

I just wanted to share the news with people really who might understand my feelings, I have a real sense of dread with underlying excitement that we’re pregnant but the sheer terror and fear that I shouldn’t get excited.

I’m sorry you are going through this again.
I would look at immunes as this was what I was diagnosed with. My body was attacking the embryos. After multiple losses , I’ve stayed pregnant this time. Dr Shehata , dr Gorgy I f you google them . It might be worth getting some private testing to see if you do have high killer cells etc.
I assumed it was my age , but I don’t think it was now. There’s also a lady on here 7mcs and now advanced in pregnancy did immunes too. Just something I wished I’d looked into after my first loss Flowers

It's annoying the recurrent miscarriage team didn't do the karyotyping with the rest of your bloods, then you would know already about potential generic issues. It was one of the standard blood tests they offered me (and partner obviously) alongside the blood clotting etc. I would push for this when you see them in December, make sure you get this.

Genetic issues that should say

@WakeuptoCake you're the second person I've seen mention Dr gorgy. Il definitely look in to him ( him?!?? )
Thank you for sharing

No worries at all. I wish I’d discovered the immunes thing earlier tbh. Best of luck @Doodledeedum
