Trouble titties, windy 🌬 bums, & full stockings of old 💦…TTC bus 50

Minster2012 · 15/11/2021 21:50

When you don’t think about your days as “Monday Tuesday Wednesday” you think of them as “fertile week” or “CD12” we know the feeling.

We’ve tried baby dust (back in early 2020 I think we stopped believing in that!?, we’ve tried chocolate/pizza & sofa sex (remember that? Late 2020, that got a lot of babies!) and now we are onto manifesting, testing, pleading & yet there’s still some unwanted bleeding🤣😂well tough titties we are here to stay til we get those BFPs🤞🏻🙌🏻we just need to rinse out our foofs & get the nurses to wade through our stocking full of old sperm 💦

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out. We’ve had multiples, some losses so know two lines can be just as terrifying as none, and we’ve got ladies where those two lines are more illusive than a white Christmas 🎅🏻

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

If you see mention of Instagram I have a public account where a lot of people are linked too:
Minstermusings, and a few people have created new anonymous accounts to record their TTC journey/life stupidities m/general annoyances on…just don’t mention TTC on a personal account.

Sunbird24 · 28/11/2021 18:49

🤞 there are lots on this thread… 🌈

Minster2012 · 28/11/2021 19:11

@Sunbird24 mmmmmm mint matchmakers, great choice!! And also that's a good idea on the sticks. Are you with ppl or on your own away? 🤞🏻🌈also our clinic said the testing does more damaging than good, like you say thawing & refreezing it's actually prob worse for the embryo to mess with it is what my guys said

@Lexber I was right BOOM!!! Yesssss love it ❤️

@Minster2012 I was right too! 🤣 Congratulations @Lexber

Bea14 · 28/11/2021 20:06

Well it looks like there is something in our smear theory!! I had my smear just a few days before ov.

@Vil10 I am 5+5 today, got my 3+ when I POAS at 5+2. How are you feeling now? Does it seem real yet?

@Franklydear Sorry to hear these new rules will affect you seeing your family. It is so frustrating.

@Minster2012 Well I phoned to book in with the midwives but as I move house in 3 weeks they told me to wait until I move as otherwise I have to do it twice with two different teams. So I cannot call and book in now until I am 8+2 which is a bit annoying. So won't get any appointments in until after then. I think I am going to book an early scan though. Trying to decide whether to book for 7+5 or 9+2. Think I might go for 9+2 on the 23rd December so we can tell some of our immediate family members when we go back to our home city to see them for Christmas (all being well!). I find it quite amusing being the sober one amongst the drunk as they don't remember what they told you the night before 😂

@Lexber waiting with baited breath to see the result! I hope you had the best day celebrating with your family.

@paintfairy I am with you with the tiredness. It is unreal. I nap at the weekends but the week days are hard. The constipation has also now arrived for me in full force! Hope you enjoyed your bacon cob!

@kaylsd Oooh excited for you to plan your trip. I love planning holidays. So far I have planned 3 honeymoons and we have yet to go on any of them, thanks covid. We were going to go to Mauritius in the summer but I hadn't got as far as booking anything which is handy seeing as we will hopefully be having a July baby. But we will hopefully have a honeymoon at somepoint in life!

@bez91 Great news about the scan!!

Also I am one of those terrible people who hasn't even started my Christmas shopping. I am very impressed some of you are done and even wrapped! Has anyone got their tree up yet? 🎄 We usually always get a real one but not this year as we are moving. We get the house on the 16th but don't move in until 22nd December. Our friend is lending us a fake tree to put up as soon as we arrive in the new house though.

Vil10 · 28/11/2021 20:34

@Minster2012 I probably see Oh's mum once a week/every 10 days and we're planning on telling her on Christmas Eve so it won't be that hard not telling her before then! Ooo a lovely Christmas evening sounds fabulous, but with a hot choc or nosecco!! I'm not looking forward to being the only sober one over Christmas😫

@Franklydear it's nice to have the same date every year to put it up together!! How're you all feeling?

@Lexber found you and just seen your instagram!! Amazing news!! And your girls looked so happy too bless them!!

@paintfairy hahahaa thats literally us too!! I have to say yes so he'll give me a back massage🤣 how're you feeling? When would your due date be? Also bacon COB???

@kaylsd definitely the best early Christmas present, a Christmas we'll never forget! Wooo for Christmas decs up!!

@bez91 so glad everything went well!! So happy for you❤️

@Bea14 I'm 4+1 today so maybe I wait until I'm around the same as you 5+ to do my weeks one! I might get a 2 pack and do one next week as well! I feeling okay actually, twinges arent there as much today but I was getting cramping today, boobs are starting to get a little sore and I'm coughing with this cold but other than that I feel amazing, it definitely hasn't sunk in yet, it hasn't for OH either, I don't think it will until we have that first scan!! We put our tree up today!! How exciting that you move in just before Christmas!!

Well there's 2 popular clinics near us that do early scans, I want a scan on the 23rd when I'll be around 7+5 because it's my mums birthday and that's when we want to tell her (praying with everything I've got we can deliver good news to her) and when I checked them they had offers on if you book in now, so I obviously had to book, and now im nervous because I wanted to wait another few weeks to book in case I jinx it but I didn't want all the appointments to go!

paintfairy · 28/11/2021 21:03

@Bea14 @Vil10 I was 5+2 when I got my 3+ too. My constipation is intermittent but much better than it was. I think I was still recovering from the ivf bloating etc. I had a lovely nap this afternoon! I just don't always have time though. And my due date would be 25 July.

Aibu? So, DH is always eating snickers. Wrappers everywhere. Even spotted some in the car earlier. He does the shopping. I haven't fancied chocolate for weeks and haven't been eating it, so I've not requested anything specific. He was eating mint matchmakers earlier. I've been sat here craving a snickers for the last hour. Got up to finally get one- we have none! 😱 No chocolate at all really, aside from Mars bars. This made me very angry. 🤬 I did throw a packet of biscuits. 🤭 Am I entitled to feel angry? 🤔

Vil10 · 28/11/2021 21:09

@paintfairy I've been constipated and bloated too! Aw a summer baby!! Also yes i would be fuming, a few years back OH made the mistake of eating my chocolate, I'm really protective over chocolate, and he has never made that mistake again🤣

paintfairy · 28/11/2021 21:14

@Vil10 originally I never wanted a summer baby. Categorically not. I missed ttc in oct/nov and also mar/Apr as I didn't want a Xmas baby either. 🤣 clearly I then got to the point where I was like- I'll take whatever I can get!
DH has actually gone to the shop. 🤭 I feel bad now. 🤣

Vil10 · 28/11/2021 21:28

@paintfairy I can understand the Christmas baby but how come you didn't want a summer baby? Hahaha I hope you gets you lots of extra supply
Of snickers!!

Franklydear · 28/11/2021 21:41

@Vil10 we are all much better, but noticing a lack of taste, not very hungry either, maybe that's why, I bought a lot of food to see us through and most still untouched,
@paintfairy a summer baby is great, no need to wrap up at the end of the pregnancy and nice weather to do the mountain of washing, also no need to get so many clothes for the baby, don't worry about school, it's a myth but starting school early means less nursery fees

polkadotpixie · 29/11/2021 05:48

Hi everyone! Not sure if anyone remembers me, I was on a couple of buses over summer, got a BFP and then MC at 5+3 in August. We took a couple of months off due to health issues but are now trying again and I'm currently 8dpo in cycle 5, AF due on Thursday as I have a short luteal phase

Congratulations to all the BFPs I missed, lovely news and i'm so pleased for you all!

Lexber · 29/11/2021 08:35

Quick update for anyone who hasn't seen Instagram

💙 AND 💖

A very happy little family (especially the kids!!!)

becarefuloutthere · 29/11/2021 08:39

@Lexber aw congratulations 🥳 that's a wonderful outcome! 😍

Dollybird89 · 29/11/2021 08:45

Congratulations @lexber ☺️

I got a gp telephone appointment this morning so at least I got the ball rolling and maybe bring forward my smear, fingers crossed

Dollybird89 · 29/11/2021 09:06

Wow gp was quick to call! I gotta go in tomorrow so she can have a look 🙈 so at least they're quick to check it all out.

becarefuloutthere · 29/11/2021 09:12

@Dollybird89 great news! Hope all goes well 🤞🏾

bez91 · 29/11/2021 10:39

@Franklydear definitely on the nursery fees with summer baby - much more cost effective to have a baby in summer 😂

@Dollybird89 that's really good, glad they're taking it seriously

@Juno231@paintfairy shouldn't you girls be outside today, cleaning your rugs in the snow? 😉

Juno231 · 29/11/2021 10:52

@bez91 sweet of you to think there's snow in London 😁

@Lexber I said it on insta but congratulations! That's exactly what I would have hoped for - one of each!

@Franklydear I'm still rather ill. It's day 6 now and has developed into a mix of tonsillitis and sinusitis I think, so I'm in pain and sooo tired from not sleeping well (I keep waking up as swallowing my saliva hurts!). How's DH? How much longer do you and DS have to self isolate?

These new travel rules might be scuppering my NYE plans as I land in the UK on the 29th but will now need to self isolate until my day 2 PCR comes back negative. Hopefully I can find a same day drive through combo for the 30th?

@Dollybird89 I'm glad you're being seen to soon by the GP! Make sure they consider/exclude PID!

I've been really down this weekend and def cried a fair bit as a group I'm on with paintfairy since beginning of last year has had everyone left in it announce their pregnancies this month. It's just hit extra hard to be the literal last one left even amongst the infertile 😅. Sorry @paintfairy but I can't even bring myself to write in the group for now.

InkyPaper · 29/11/2021 11:00

One of each! How lovely @Lexber 😊

@Dollybird89 glad your doctor seems on it!

Big hugs @Juno231 ❤️ it's the hardest feeling ❤️ hope you feel lots better soon too!

So I just had my call with the IVF clinic - DH's SA was actually better!! So two Brazil nuts a day clearly helped 😁 my scan showed I had 52 follicles...which um...seems excessive. So I'm guessing I probably won't get a fresh transfer if that's what I'm doing on my own without drugs but who knows how my weird body will respond?! I'm getting drugs to force a period in December and then will get Northisterone to force another one in January at which point treatment will start in earnest. I've also been told I need to lose weight if I can (BMI is 28) and that as far as that doctor is concerned, I do have PCOS and need to ask my GP to prescribe me a higher folic acid dose of 5mg. I've got three pages of notes 🙈 absolute information overload!

Franklydear · 29/11/2021 11:08

@Juno231 oh dear, and you’re sure is not covid, dh is finally better and out of danger, we both have mighty cold symptoms, ds and I are out of isolation on Thursday and dh has the rest of the week to go, out on Monday that happens to be his birthday, of course he’s planning to stop by the office, won’t be allowed, they give you your birthday as a holiday, it’s bloody hard is taking this long, I also feel this will never happen, but that doesn’t make it so, cd 7 and have flashing smiley, dh said good luck to me, but later said that he’s feeling a bit better so might try, bless him, he wants this even more than I do,
@InkyPaper overload but things are moving, break it down in pieces so it’s not overwhelming

paintfairy · 29/11/2021 11:23

@Vil10 because they aren't very bright. 🤣 Summer born children for school, it makes life hard for them. They do tend to catch up in later years though. My other reason is thinking if myself at 16/18. The younger ones in my year were doing all the things the older ones were (that they shouldn't have been) and it just means they grow up faster, as it were. Also you can't go out for most of your friends 18ths because you aren't old enough. Another negative is I'll be fat and hot in summer. 🤣 Also job wise is not ideal. But there are positive as @Franklydear says. Less childcare fees, no dragging a new baby round in freezing weather, it'll also make things much easier with my horses. So it's not all bad. Let's just hope i get that far!
@polkadotpixie welcome back!
@Dollybird89 that's good! An efficient GP? Goodness.
@bez91 🤣 We actually don't have that much snow here. And the rug went to the tip. 😆
@InkyPaper 52?! Jesus. Yeah that seems a tad overboard. Good things are progressing though and you have a plan.
@Juno231 being ill doesn't help with your mood. But January isn't far away now! Christmas will fly, so it'll soon be your turn! And then you'll be moaning how shite you feel on the shitty drugs. 🤭 The NYE thing sounds annoying. Bloody government. Hopefully you can sort it.

So, I don't know how I feel today. I'm trying to ignore it. My rhr has dropped again and even DH now is saying take the bloody thing off. I didn't sleep hardly last night as I was anxious (not about that, just generally) and my symptoms I'm sure are less. I know everyone does this, but I really don't feel pregnant? It'll be a long 2 weeks......
All this new covid stuff is making me anxious too. Oh another plus to a summer baby! @Vil10 Because this time of year is crazy hospital and covid wise and i would be very pissed off if DH couldn't come in for things or whatever.

Franklydear · 29/11/2021 11:40

@paintfairy the summer children being behind is an annoying myth, quite a few of the brightest on ds year 6 were June/July babies, the dumbest were two September babies, nearly a whole year older than the brightest two, and also bare in mind, that’s the way is measured, if you ask a fish to climb a tree, it will always fail.... the not being able to drink as soon as your older friends....🤨

paintfairy · 29/11/2021 11:43

@Franklydear doing the school stats is actually my job. So it's not a myth. 🤣 Boys are also affected worse. But clearly it's not a given and they do usually catch up in later years. Its infants age that it seems to affect them more.
