Metformin side effects

Sorry if this has been asked a lot, but has metformin made anyone else feel horrific? I’m on day 4 and feel constantly nauseous. Do I need to keep going with it or try something else? Thanks!

I have been on it since 2020 and the first weekend/week I was on it, the stomach cramps and bad tummy were awful. It got better and I'm fine on it now! I'd say stick at it if you can for now and if things don't get better after a week or so, speak to your GP

Keep going. It gets better. I remember having nausea, diarrhoea at first but it got easier

It can cause quite bad tummy upsets. If the side effects persist, ask your GP to try the slow release version instead.

The slow release ones can be gentler on your gut xx
