11 day luteal phase normal?

Hello ☺️ This is my second cycle TTC and the first using ovulation tests. I got my peak today (on day 15) so imagine I will ovulate on day 16. My cycles are regular at 27 days meaning my luteal phase is only 11 days. I have read that 12 to 14 days is average and that shorter luteal phases make it harder ttc which now has me worried. Anyone else have a shorter luteal phases? How have you found TTC?

Mine was always short after periods returned after 1st DC - sometimes as short as seven days. I managed to convince number 2 within six months of trying

My cycles are generally 25 days, luteal phase 11-13 days. When I first came off contraception it was closer to 7-9 days. I conceived first cycle of trying. I think if its less that 10 days you can have problems with progesterone? But I don't really know and we didn't have any issues.

Just to clarify, I was using natural family planning methods between stopping hormonal contraception and TTC, for about 2 years, and over that time my literally phase increased

Hiya, I wouldn't worry :) Anything less than 10 days counts as 'short' - 11 is fine. Plus, if you've recently come off the pill (?) it's normal for luteal phases to lengthen with time. I had many 9 day LPs for first 8 months off the pill, finally went up to 12 days (perhaps with a bit of help from Vit C and B6 which people say helps) but then my last 2 have been short again. I definitely wouldn't worry 2 months in with 11 days - good luck :) :)

Mine are 10-11 days too! I haven’t conceived but I am also TTC and 3 months in!
