I had noticed a few early symptoms but just assumed I was due on (got to love how early preg & pms are same symptoms) but it was my usual work meeting with team that made me realise I needed to test! My friend stood next to me with her usual caramel latte but that morning the smell really turned my stomach making me feel like I was going to be sick! So on the way home I grabbed a 2 pack of Sainsbury’s tests.
Did it & it was negative so I went about my day thinking no more about it, a bit later I went to throw it away but noticed another line had appeared. I knew about evaporation lines so told my boyfriend we needed a better test to be sure.
We got a clearblue double pack. I did it & we both watched the second line appear but in a weird place, then whilst we are trying to figure out what that means another very thin line appears where it’s supposed to?
So we both start getting excited & figuring stuff out (trip straight to shop to get folic acid lol)
I did another Sainsbury’s test this morning thinking it would be a clearer line but it’s negative? I am so confused!
Added pics 1 is first Sainsbury’s can hardly see the line on pic
2 is confusing clearblue all lines appeared in minutes (we made sure to time 10 mins)
3 is this morning’s negative
Am I pregnant or not?

Sainsbury's tests aren't great, I was getting positive on first response for a week before a Sainsbury's one picked it up. Try a boots one or first response. They're pink dye and usually more reliable

Hi, this is extremely frustrating and probably not what you want to hear, but I've heard/seen a lot on this forum and others of those blue dye tests (even from Clearblue) giving horrible, thin lines like that, and not being pregnant. Really sorry, but I wouldn't trust that test. That's not to say you aren't just very very early but I would get a pink dye test such as First Response Early which will give you a clearer answer. So sorry if its not, it's horrid to get hopes up isn't it - let us know how you get on. Daffodil

Can anyone help?

First picture with paper is 8dpo and second is 9dpo?

I’m sure there’s a line on both! But worried it’s a chemical?

@Dogcrazymum I can see it on both. I'm not sure why you're assuming it's a chemical though or why you've hi-jacked someone else's thread 😬

@MummyShelly1985 I'm gonna echo the others and recommend you get a pink dye test. The CBs and Sainsbury tests are notorious for leaking dye and giving off false positives.

Sorry I had no idea how to start a thread. New to mumsnet 😭. Thank you!

lionsmum · 10/11/2021 19:57

@Dogcrazymum I have no idea why people are so passive-aggressive (rude) on this site sometimes🤷🏼‍♀️! I can see a little bit of line progression so try not to worry, HCG takes a while to build so test in a few days again and hopefully it gets darker, for early lines those look good😊

@MummyShelly1985 it's so hard to say as I've seen evaps on both those brands before, do you have any for the morning?

Juno231 · 10/11/2021 20:19

@lionsmum the rude part is hijacking a thread with your own bfp when someone else is worried about theirs...

lionsmum · 10/11/2021 20:38

@Juno231 I think it's fair to say both ladies are worried! Don't be so judgemental.

Chloe1628 · 22/12/2021 20:15

I have a very thin blue line on my test, is this positive?
