Implant removed and return to cycle

I was on the implant for 15 years, and during this time had no periods at all. After my first covid jab my periods restarted, and were really regular. This was May this year, so regular for May, June, July, August & September. Because I was back to having periods and because this implant was due to end in December I decided to have it removed and use condoms with DH instead. I had it removed in September after my period had already finished.

My implant came out and my period came a week early than expected. So that’s one periods since removal, in October. Since that period DH and I have had sex but used condoms each time with no indication of failure. But now I’m 10 days late counting from my last (early) period and roughly two days late counting from when I should have been due if the last one hadn’t been early. I POAS on Sunday and it was negative but I guess my question is how much longer before I POAS again and how much longer before I consider a GP appointment? The nurse told me my cycle and fertility would return to normal as soon as the implant came out. Or am I just over thinking it all?!

I had my implant out in May and had a 52 day cycle (7 days was before implant was out). You maybe haven't ovulated this month? My cycles have taken a couple of months to get back to a more normal range (which is annoying because they always warn you that you can get pregnant as soon as you come off it)

@KatyaZamolodchikova you used a condom each time, so I think the reason for being late is most probably the fact that you were coming off the implant. If you don't know when you ovulated and therefore could have had conceived, rule of thumb is to test around 21 days after intercourse - which of course is not easy to do if you had intercourse more than once :)

@KatyaZamolodchikova I had my implant removed 2nd July and am yet to have have a visit from AF. I POAS once a week but we are actively TTC..

Also forgot to add, my GP has been useless and refuse to look into my lack of periods until it has been 6 months!

Just in case anyone is interested AF has turned up today on CD54, after two BFN’s. Fingers crossed I’m back to some type of regularity from now on.
