When to take blood sample for progesterone test?

I ordered home progesterone test. I am supposed to collect blood sample 7 days before expected period- for me it falls on Sunday. Company where I ordered test from says that samples should be returned by post on Mon-Thu only. I googled and it seems that blood can last without special storage conditions for few hours only? Should I then take my blood sample on Monday so that it is delivered as fresh as possible? But then it means my result might be inaccurate as blood was taken 1 day later? Or should I take sample on Sunday and bood quality will be normal for testing if it gets delivered on Monday or Tuesday?

As in this tomorrow? That means they wouldn’t get the sample to test until Tuesday. Even samples taken fb phlebotomy are requested by our hospital to be in their lab within 24 hours as samples could deteriorate.

I would say wait until another cycle. This is what has to happen if booking venous blood tests at the surgery and there isn’t an appointment on the date needed.

Progesterone tests are fine taken 7-9dpo.
Is that what 7 days before your period will be? As that assumes you have a perfect 14 day LP.

If tomorrow is your 7dpo then you're more than fine taking the test on the Monday as your progesterone will still be peaking.

yes, tomorrow on Sunday I will be 7dpo, I am now inclining to take sample on Monday 8dpo then following your responses, thank you!

Progesterone is better measured 7 dpo that 7 days before your period starts or day 21 is only really for people that has a day 14 ovulation.

Where I ovulated on cd11 so my test would be better done on cd18 as progesterone spikes 7 days after ovulation.

Yes do your sample tomorrow as when I get it done and my 7dpo lands on a sat or Sunday I get my bloods done on the Friday or Monday.

How come you're not getting your GP to do it?
