My app expected AF on 21st but not I've changed my suspected ovulation date to 12th instead of 5th - AF is due on 28th December making me 9/10dpo.

@AmberRH1993 I'm reeeeeeeaaaally sorry but I'd be lying to you if I said I could see a second line. Deffo worth doing another FRER on Friday though?

Hi ladies, just to update that after three days of torment with no more spotting but some dreaded stark white bfn's af has finally decided to hit with a vengeance to make up for being late 😩😩 Feeling ridiculously sad over it when I knew it was coming but onwards to the January thread! Thanks to you all for keeping me occupied and sharing your stories! Congrats to those with bfps and baby dust to those still waiting 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi Ladies, sorry for being awol for a bit, I thought this thread had stopped! As a little update I think I may have got a very faint BFP today at 10 dpo on a FRER, towards the end of the 10 mins but still in the 10 mins. AF is due tomorrow, so i'm not officially late yet. Clinging to my last remaining symptoms like heartburn which is still definitely there along with a bit of sore boobs, cramps etc have largely subsided. Usually I get really bloated the day pre AF, which hasn't happened yet, but it could still come tomorrow. I am completely paranoid that it is an EVAP, or that AF comes tomorrow, or that it is a chemical or doesn't progress. My DD was an accident and by the time I tested at 5-6 weeks it was one hell of a strong line so the VVFL at 10dpo has thrown me through a loop. I am wondering if anyone has previously tested positive at around 10 dpo, and how long it took for the line to darken? I assume they are meant to progress? The internet is doom and gloom about faint lines and seems to say they are evaps largely so now i've worked myself up into a mess. I know this is one I have to wait out to see... but I would really love some answers/personal experiences?

@madeleine85, my DD was a faint line at 11DPO which grew stronger. Faint is normal when HCG is still low. No promises but I could see the line on your photo from the other board, which means it's dark enough that it's probably not an evap.

Line progression is totally a thing - keep testing and hopefully you'll see it for yourself!

Sorry AF visited @BabyBird20! Hopefully you're not waiting much longer for your BFP and have a lovely Christmas regardless. Your time will come and nature wasn't ready this month.

Hello @madeleine85, welcome back! I did see you'd posted on other threads and was wondering if you'd left us here! Faint second lines are cruel because sometimes we never find out what/why they were. Sometimes they are evaps, faulty tests, the start of a true BFP or they might detect early pregnancy hCG when the pregnancy is not viable (a chemical). You may never have the answer. All you can do is test again. I've had two sets of twins so by 10DPO the first time, the line was pretty strong. The second time I didn't test until around 13DPO and the line was obvious by that stage so I can't give you personal experience in terms of early line progression. Without seeing pics of your tests it's impossible to tell and may be impossible to tell anyway. That said, maybe you ovulated later than you thought you did and therefore you're not 10DPO (now 11?) but earlier on than that? I'm hoping against all hope that that is the case. What test did you use and are you testing again this morning with FMU? TTC is so bloody stressful and tests throwing curveballs like this really doesn't help, does it?

The line got a little pinker/stronger today, so fingers crossed! Just glad to know it wasn't an evap to be totally honest! I'll wait till xmas day to do one of the less sensitive tests to make sure the levels are progressing. I think I'll get excited when I officially miss AF assuming that happens

Thanks @Nico89, I saved my fmu, got brave and took a less sensitive cheapie test and it’s showing there 🎉. Just need a day to pass AF zone and will breathe a bit

CD28.. DPO WHO KNOWS?! and a BFN on my morning FRER 😩
Sticking to my mantra that it's not over until AF shows her face and I'm thinking that will be around 28th Dec if I go by last month.

@AmberRH1993 so sorry this is an odd cycle. Did you say you had a chemical last one or am I making that up? Bodies are so annoying at times!

@madeleine85 when I came off the pill with my son I had a chemical 1st cycle and bfp 2nd Cycle. Yeah its all just a bit confusing but not going to test now until after AF is late before NYE.
