I don't know. Not even a week into November and sadly some are out for this month.

If you're dreaming of a white Christmas and you're definitely on Santa's NAUGHTY list, this is the one for you. Not a December bus but a December SLEIGH!

So go Dasher, go Dancer, go Prancer and Vixen! We don't want you to bring us those toys. Please stuff our stockings full of BFP joy!

Hi everyone, I’m out as started spotting this AM 🥲🥲. TTC is hard. I’m disappointed that my trying-not-to-obsess-cycle didn’t result in a BFP. But at least the TWW did feel a little easier that way.. I had my COVID booster and flu vax at the weekend and am glad I did. And, this morning when I saw spotting I remembered what PP’s had said about reflexology so I booked an appointment 🤞🏻🤞🏻. Thanks for this thread and the support. X

BabyBird20 · 08/12/2021 22:52

Hi @Squiff70 and everyone, hope you don't mind me jumping on. Just starting my tww while ttc #2 and already driving myself crazy so will be nice to have some company here! I had a total nightmare of over two years the first time with a miracle BFP the same month I was due to start fertility treatment so I have no idea what this time will bring! Have been casually trying for a few cycles but decided to properly try the last two months and used the opk. I can test on the 21st so could be in for a very happy or very grumpy Christmas! Fingers crossed for lots of bfps for Christmas for us all! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

AmberRH1993 · 08/12/2021 23:09

@Squiff70

Oh *@madeleine85* I hope you and hubby are feeling better soon! Day 17 is definitely better than 20/21 so that's good news, at least :)

Hello and welcome @arianasky! So sorry to hear about your chemical and recent MMC, I understand how just upsetting they are. I hope you enjoyed your Christmas shopping and prosecco today.

@MindZGap sorry to hear about your BFN. So many of us will be ovulating over Christmas so at least is we're out this month we know we can have a drink (if we choose to) and some fun!

Sorry also about your BFN @Mummytobe93. Try to stay warm and look after yourself!

@Nico89 sometimes our cycles can be so confusing. I wouldn't count spotting as day 1. Wait until it's heavier then start from CD1. How are you doing now? It has been a good few hours since your post this morning.

@Shortmamashortcycles glad you've had your booster! I'm having mine this Friday. It can be a difficult decision to make when TTC but especially during pregnancy. I am petrified of catching covid as I'm C.E.V but equally I'm no use to my daughter if I'm ill with covid (or any other serious illness) so will do what I can to protect myself and her. I do understand it's personal choice, however. Let's hope if this isn't your cycle then the next one behaves and fully co-operates! I do get a lot of ovulation pain and at times it's absolutely excruciating. Four years ago I spent a long time in hospital following a very serious illness which left me fighting for my life on a ventilator for 5 weeks. I was on a ward some time later and crying and begging a nurse to call a doctor as I genuinely believed I had appendicitis the pain was so bad. She did, but the doctor rules out appendicitis very quickly and blamed an ovarian cyst. I was sent for a scan days later but the pain had gone so we never 'caught' the cause.

@Sunrise321 How is your spotting now, if that's not a completely weird thing to ask?! Sounds like your last cycle was a bit chaotic but to be expected after so long on the pill I guess.

Hi @AmberRH1993. You have some interesting symptoms there for 5DPO! Keep us posted please. Happy Birthday to your little boy! My daughter also turned 2 a couple of weeks ago. Interesting age... but very cute (so far).

Hope you also feel better soon @lottieb92 - sickness bugs are no fun AT ALL. You might want to do a PCR test if you can stand it.

I'll post this then carry on before I do a Squiff and delete everything I've just written...

Yes 2 is definitely an interesting age - especially when it's having a tantrum in the supermarket 😅 this is my first proper cycle off the pill again so I'm sure my body is still all over the place but got a good opk so judging that as a good sign and went from there... Let's see 🤞
jazmine38 · 08/12/2021 23:25

Hi ladies also jumping on..starting the TWW tomorrow. Had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in April and a chemical in July so gave TTC a break until this month. The miscarriage was grim. Baby dust to all 😇

rainbowzebra05 · 09/12/2021 07:41

@Squiff70 this is it edited to help visibility. I swear something happens when they're uploaded, theyre hard to photograph to begin with but seem to get worse when posted! Definitely there and pink, but yesterday afternoon was a stark negative.

AF's arrived this morning though so I'm definitely out.

Ho ho ho! We all want Santa to come (with loads of BFPs)! It's the December thread 🎅🌲🎁
AmberRH1993 · 09/12/2021 09:23

Not sure this month is the one for me... Lots of what looks like EWCM this morning so took opk to double check and it's completely negative. I'm sure by body is still all over the place from my pill leaving my system so not feeling confident 🙁
@AmberRH1993 I feel the same after coming off my pill in sept. Don't know what my body is doing, don't know what my regular cycle is or what's normal for me. It's frustrating! Are you using anything to track your cycle atm?
I took my last pill end of October and waited for my first proper period before trying. I'm using the FLO app because used it when I was trying for my son 2 years ago - I found it most easy to understand.
After my period finished I used ovulation test strips twice a day and updated the app when I had positive results which then automatically adjusts the dates on the app.
I'm 6dpo today and AF expected on 22nd December so let's see.
Have you been doing opks?

AmberRH1993 · 09/12/2021 10:40
@AmberRH1993 yes I use flo and OPKs as well. Started using them after my second period as didn't know when I was ovulating or anything! Use the premom app with the OPKs which I quite like.
I tried the premom this time around but I found it wasn't reading my opks clearly and saying low reading when it's really my highest. Baby dust to you and hopefully this is the month we get BFPs 🤞

Janey3090 · 09/12/2021 12:16

Hi all, got my positive OPK early this morning so assuming ovulation tomorrow! Praying for a BFP on Christmas Eve instead of AF..

Squiff70 · 09/12/2021 13:48

Sorry to those of you who've been visited by AF and g ood luck to those of you with positive/peak OPKs!

I still think we're soon to see an influx of BFPs on this thread...

Welcome @BabyBird20! Rest in the knowledge that if you don't get your BFP this month you can have a rather wild Christmas if that's your thing (or maybe just a couple of drinks!)

@AmberRH1993 my daughter was born at 22 weeks and miraculously survived. Sadly her twin brother was only with us for four previous days. Our little girl turned two at the end of November but she has some development delay due to a prolonged (7.5 month) hospital admission on top of her (very) early arrival so she behaved like a 12-18 month old rather than a 2 year old. Occasionally we see flickers of toddler in her (she isn't walking yet, but nearly) if she stamps a foot or throws a toy, for example, but we haven't had a full-on toddler meltdown (YET)! That delight will come, I don't doubt it.

Welcome also to @jazmine38! So sorry for your losses but wishing you a healthy pregnancy very soon Flowers

Ahh sorry @rainbowzebra05, you may never know why the pregnancy didn't progress. Life and TTC can be so cruel.

Hi all, sorry I've been quiet on here - been trying not to symptom spot or obsess in the TWW. 7DPO today and not a lot to report other than 5DPO I was TIRED - with a huge emphasis on the caps lock and very irritable (although this could have been because of how tired I was!) Then 6DPO (yesterday) I was still quite tired and had a bit of an achy left boob in the evening and a tugging feeling in my stomach yesterday afternoon but I think that was maybe just symptom spotting at its finest.
Premom says to test 12DPO on 14th December, which DP told me the other day is his late grandads birthday - so hopefully he sends us a little Christmas miracle Xmas Grin

Hope everyone is okay and looking forward to hopefully seeing some BFP's in here over the next few days xx

silvercosmopolitian · 09/12/2021 16:18

Hi, can I join please ? Second cycle trying to conceive, period is due around 20th December, ( normally a 30 day ish cycle, last period started 20th November), and I think I would have ovulated around 6th december according to fertility calculators ?So now just a waiting game I guess, ( expecting it to take a little while though, as came off the pill in september).

madeleine85 · 09/12/2021 17:24

@BabyBird20 welcome to the group! Is this the start of your TTC #2 journey? Hope this is an easier journey for you.

@AmberRH1993 I was the same. I think someone on one of these threads told me to expect 3 months to stabilise, and they were right (which I didn't want to hear at the time). This is month 3 and things finally feel normal. First month EWCM took forever to come, 2nd month, it was there forever, this month, felt "normal". It's frustrating, but give it time and hopefully your body will come back to its natural state. If the EWCM is there, just test OKP 2x a day till you get your peak. My first cycle i'd have missed my peak if I hadn't as it rapid onset.I use premom and the cheap OKPs and it works well for me. Sometimes it doesn't get the low % ones right, but when it peaks, its very obvious it's happening (for me) as the line goes very dark, very fast.

@rainbowzebra05 sorry for your loss, that is a rotten feeling. I'm assuming it was a chemical, and that is just gutting. Sending hugs.

@Sunrise321 I am so sorry AF came. I'll see you in the Jan thread. 2022 off to a new year and fresh start!

@beckybabyx @Janey3090 @silvercosmopolitian good luck!! baby dust to you/anyone else waiting for the BFP

I think I peaked while we were both suffering stomach flu, so absolutely no DTD. EWCM dried up today, and that is fine. Honestly, I think it will be interesting to have a control/test month to see how I feel during the 2WW with zero chance of conceiving, as in the first 2 TTC cycles, I had all the "symptoms" and no BFP, so it will be interesting to see if It happens this month too.

Nico89 · 09/12/2021 18:13

Still in limbo here. On and off spotting, some cramping and sore heavy boobs..but no AF yet. I haven't tested as I'm so convinced that all of a sudden AF will be like "helloooo did you miss me?!" As surely spotting that has been going on, on and off for like 4 days can't be a good sign right?

silvercosmopolitian · 09/12/2021 18:20

What does bfp stand for Blush

madeleine85 · 09/12/2021 18:26

@silvercosmopolitian BFP big fat positive, BFN is the opposite for POAS (Pee on a stick)... I did a lot of googling of these terms 2 months ago lol

madeleine85 · 09/12/2021 18:30

@Nico89 I really hope this is your month It could be a good sign, fingers crossed for you. You have an amazing ability to hold out on testing!! When I had DD I was cramping badly at that point, I was certain my AF was arriving. I didn't have spotting, but some do. My sister had 2 period type bleeds. I hate to say this, but all these threads and discussions have taught me is that everyone really is different. As your AF hasn't arrived yet, i'm holding out hope for you. Please keep us updated! x

BabyBird20 · 09/12/2021 18:54

Thanks @Squiff70, I'll def be having a gin or 7 if Af makes an appearance on the 21st! We're moving out for the month of January due to having a full rewire and new kitchen install so if it doesn't happen this month it'll probably be at least feb/March before we can properly try again! 😬🤞🏻
@madeleine85 thank you, this is our second month using opks and actively dtd daily for the fertile period. We've been much more casually 'seeing how it goes' since May/June time without much luck but was trying not to stress myself (unsuccessfully!!)

I had a weird bit of spotting today which I've never noticed around ovulation before, def can't be implantation as only 2dpo at the mo! Anyone else had this?

Nico89 · 09/12/2021 19:05

@madeleine85 I have surprised myself with my ability to hold off. Its fear!... I have been so certain that AF is imminent that I don't want to test and get positive just for AF to arrive. This time of year is awful for me mental health and I'm not sure how well I would cope with a CP Sad

I'm off to work in a minute for a 12 hour night shift so it will take my mind off it all and 12 hours on my feet will surely bring on AF if she's coming. If still nothing I will definitely be testing when I wake up tomorrow. I'll be 14 dpo so if I have been lucky I should definitely know either way x

madeleine85 · 09/12/2021 19:25

@Nico89 mental health at this time of year is so hard for so many people, it's great that you recognise that and set yourself up well. Fingers crossed for you tomorrow (and for no AF night shift)! x

Timeaftertime21 · 09/12/2021 19:26

@MindZGap It has definitely been helpful. I have attached a photo of the OvuSense app which tracks the temperatures. I was convinced I'd ovulate on the Monday and when my temperature dropped and then rose again I thought I was covered and had a 'fallback rise'. I couldn't believe it when it said I'd ovulated on the Wednesday 😩 I've learnt a lot haha!!

Ho ho ho! We all want Santa to come (with loads of BFPs)! It's the December thread 🎅🌲🎁
Squiff70 · 09/12/2021 22:25

@beckybabyx I'm hoping you and DP get a special little gift from his late Grandad on the 14th too. Keep us posted x

Welcome @silvercosmopolitian! Keeping my fingers crossed for you for around the 20th too!

@madeleine85 I'm sorry you were both too unwell for DTD this cycle. It will be really interesting to see if your body plays tricks on you like it has before. Let's hope you have a swift, easy and HEALTHY transition into your next cycle.

@Nico89 sorry you're still in limbo but I hope your night shift is peaceful. Best of luck if you test in the morning. I'll definitely check in tomorrow at some point and see how you are. I admire your tenacity in not testing but totally understand your desire 'not to know' if it's a CP, especially if you are already feeling fragile. I'm here if you want to chat about anything (even if you feel it's 'off-topic' to this thread you can always fire me a PM). Sending you a big hug to get you through the night! Bear

@BabyBird20 haha a Gin or 7 sounds good to me! Moving out for a month sounds very stressful. Are you staying with relatives/friends or are you having to rent somewhere? Never had spotting at 2DPO I don't think but have had ovulation spotting once or twice.

@MindZGap how are you doing? @Timeaftertime21 I'm also interested in the Ovusense bracelet. What do I need to know? Is it worth it?
