Been TTC for a few years have had 2 Mc and a chemical.. ;DH won't have IVF and I don't think chances are that good at my age anyway

How do you know when it's time to stop?

Sorry you're in this position.

You don't necessarily need to stop- you can still try. I'd personally look at some other options as well such as fertility treatment with a donor egg or adoption?

I had a dc at 43. 3. Got pregnant within 3 months. Tried at 44.3 and 3 chemicals and a mmc at 8 weeks.
I gave up sadly..

I had DD at 38. I was too frazzled to try again until I was 40 and gave myself until 43. It didn't happen, so I no longer put myself under pressure any more.

It is a big decision so go with your gut instinct because it is usually right.

Sorry to hear that it has not happened currently.

I’m so sorry OP. You’re right the chances aren’t good. They would be much higher with a donor egg. My gynaecologist explained to me at 40 that the body releases it’s best eggs first and by the time you get to forties the ones left aren’t great. It happens for some people but not for most of us.

I’m similar age to you and assuming it won’t happen. Not using contraception cos many yrs of unprotected sex and zero pregnancies (not even chemical).

Thanks for responding. The disappointment is hard every month which is why I feel I need to have a date for stopping but it feels very final
