Weird taste in mouth

For the past two days on and off I have an extremely bizzare taste in my mouth which I have never had before!

Has anyone had this? Shouldn't symptom spot but my oral hygiene is good so I don't know why I'd be getting a strange taste in my mouth.

Is really hard to describe!

Does it taste metallic? Even after drinking water?

metallic taste could be a sign of diabetes...

@DukeofEarlGrey also some experience this after eating cheap pine nuts. Hence why I was convinced to be pregnant again last cycle 😅

It's like a sour sort of taste it comes and goes throughout the day but I've had it for two days now.

I keep chewing, airwaves gum to take the taste away or a swig of mouthwash!

Did you take a test? How many dpos are you?

@Bundaberg84 I haven't taken a test want to hold off till Sunday ideally the closer to the date I'm due my period the better.

I'm 9 DPO today, however I'm not sure how accurate that is I'm just going off the app I use to input my periods ect. I haven't been tracking ovulation.

It says my ovulation day was 27th October.

We had unprotected on the 26th and 27th.

@Bundaberg84 I've just taken this, it's an ovulation one the only one I had in but I can see a pink line!

It's an ovulation stick you said? They always show a pink line, the lh level is never zero. That doesn't mean anything, sorry @allthingssparkly.

Yeah, it just seems darker today than the one I did yesterday which seems bizzare as I ovulated the last week in October!

That's alright, it doesn't look close to a peak.

Altered sense of taste could be covid. You need to isolate and get a pcr test:

@PurpleDaisies I haven't got COVID, trust me. I do regular lateral flows, I've got more of a sour metallic taste in the back of my throat!

Ovulation tests are not trustworthy pregnancy tests because in many women LH increases again towards a period.

Thank you, I know they're not supposed to give a pregnancy result that's why I will test in a few days with a pg test. I was just intrigued! 😌

One thing I am fed up of is this intermittent metallic taste in the back of my mouth, eurgh!

A metallic taste in my mouth was my first sign of my third pregnancy at just 5dpo. I was absolutely certain about it and was shocked when I tested negative a couple of days later.

A couple more days after that I had the positive test!

@cheeseismydownfall was it, that's making me a tiny bit hopeful I've never had this before it's so weird! I'm either brushing my teeth constantly, using mouth wash or chewing chewing gum as it's horrible 😫 it goes for abit but then comes back throughout the day, very bizzare!

If I get my bfp it'll be my 3rd too, fingers crossed.
