Can an evaporation like be blue? Pic attached. Help please!

Hi all,

I did a Clearblue test on Saturday, looked at the test in the alloted time, saw no second blue line so left it in the spare room on the dresser and thought no more about it. I went back to the room on Monday morning, looked at the test again and saw a second blue line. I did a FRER on Tuesday and didn’t get a second line. Period now one day late, which isn’t unusual for me. Just wondering can evaporation lines ever be as blue as this? I know Clearblue are unreliable but I thought evaporation lines were always grey.

Unfortunately yes, they can be this blue @Littleheart5. There are so many threads and posts about it here it's disheartening. Of course, that doesn't mean that you won't get your BFP soon, but that test is considered invalid. Sorry hun!

I've never personally had a test this dark that's turned out to be negative. When testing early with my last pregnancy 6 days before period was due) the line took ages to come up and appeared negative at first.

Thanks for your help ladies, I’ll update when I know. I find many of the threads about the same subject on here never reach a conclusions, so it’s hard to know which way they went! My answer one way or another might help someone in the future :)

For anyone who comes across this thread in times to come…it was a chemical pregnancy, my period was delayed by 5 days and then came in heavy. On the the next try…
