I've tested this afternoon, but only realised when I got home I've picked up ovulation tests by mistake!

I've used one anyway and there is a very faint line in the test window! Why is this?

My period is due 10 November.

Apparently you can use OPKs to test for pregnancy. Of course, HPTs are more accurate. They say this is because they're of a similar structure or something like that x

That's an opk you said? I mean it's just a faint line, so it makes sense to me.

VenusStarr · 02/11/2021 15:38

I can't see a line really but most of us have lh in our system all the time. It doesn't mean much until the second line is as dark as the control line. If you're testing early, you're better using a first response but if you're not due until 10 November, the earliest that would pick up a bfp would be Saturday, possibly Friday. Good luck.

@Bundaberg84 yes I used an ovulation test, only realised when I got them home that I picked those up instead of pg tests! So you can see a line? I could too but very faint.

@VenusStarr thank you, I'll test with a pg test this weekend 😊

Opks will usually always show a faint second line, they are only positive (for ovulation) when the second line is as dark or darker than control line :)

Good luck for testing x

Bundaberg84 · 02/11/2021 16:08

Yes I can see a line, which is to be expected as you always have a certain level of lh that can be detected. If it would be a surge, as in the line is as dark as the control line, it could indicate a pregnancy. But as your AF is due in 8 days it's a normal range of lh I suppose.

@Bundaberg84 Thank you, I'll test again in a few days and see if there's any changes.
