Basically having a really turbulent time. I’ve been tracking ovulation this month and dtd around the time on my ovulation tests.

LMP was 23rd of September. I had high and peak ovulation tests from the 8th to the 11th. My cycle is 28 days and usually very heavy and painful.
I had a strong positive on a CB 6 days early test but tested negative on every other brand since.
I had light brown discharge in my underwear on the 22nd of October (Period was Due 20th according to Flo which is usually accurate). This then turned into a 4 day very light bleed that started off brown, turned pink and then brown again. I did put a pad on just to keep an eye on things but it was less than a tea spoon and not like a period flow at all.

Anyway, fast forward to now I’ve had sore breasts, swollen, tender and really veiny. Extremely tired, constant sore heads, dizziness and I’ve also now been feeling nauseous.

I know that if I’m pregnant, it won’t be a good outcome as I feel like my lines should be stronger just now. I’ve also had a dull ache in my shoulder tip and I recently suffered an ectopic pregnancy in March 2021.

During my ectopic pregnancy I had the similar ache in my shoulder but was totally dismissed by hospital staff until I was eventually listened to and the pregnancy was located and methotrexate was given. I’m now in another battle to be seen but if for anything peace of mind as I am driving myself crazy.

This is going to be the last time I test as I am so stressed it’s unbelievable right now. These photos don’t do the line any justice and it is a lot pinker in person as I understand it appears a little grey. It also came up within the stated 3 minute time frame.

Basically I just need someone to tell me I’m not crazy, I’m trying to trust my instincts so much and feel like I know something isn’t right in my body and it’s really getting me down.

Thank you if you managed to read all the way to the end x

Sorry you are having such a hard time. I can see a whisper of a second line. I too had an ectopic and they told me to go to straight to epu with any subsequent pregnancies.

Hope things turn out ok for you x 💐

@FETOCT2021

Thank you for commenting I feel like I am driving myself utterly insane. I was told by EPU I would be seen at 6weeks for a scan to make sure any future pregnancy’s were located in the correct place. But honestly, what a job I’ve had getting anyone to actually speak to me. I just have this really strong feeling that something isn’t right and I feel like a total crazy woman. The doctor I spoke to last week told me that sometimes ectopic pregnancies don’t come up as positive on a hpt as the hcg goes up and down too much. And I was like ????? Take my blood then but the said to retest.

Infuriated beyond belief. I had a MC in May 2020 and had a normal “period” bleed the whole way through and was utterly shocked when i randomly tested and got a bfp. With my ectopic in March it took me ages to get a positive as well and it was so questionable (similar to this) that I ended up spending a fortune on tests and eventually saw some progression and was so excited until it all went wrong. X

I can see a very very faint line

user1473880439 · 31/10/2021 15:40

@Pumpkinstace

Thank you so much for commenting I feel like I’m going crazy and like stated above no one will see me. I am frightened to leave it another week to try retest due to my history with ectopic but then have no idea how I go about getting someone to take me seriously x

That's bullshit! You should be seen straight away! I'm not usually like that but can you tell them you're in pain? Exaggerate things? Unfortunately that's what a friend of mine just had to do so her GP took her seriously, she knew something was wrong but they just dismissed her. Ended up having an appendicitis and had to get surgery immediately.

user1473880439 · 31/10/2021 16:01

@Bundaberg84

Honestly it’s beyond a joke. I feel like I am slowly going insane it’s actually overwhelming. I just want and need to be seen for my own health, safety and sanity. Really bad cut backs just now due to COVID. Telephone calls with GPs and A&E and EPU are very funny with who they will see. My friend went to a&e the other night and was told she was wasting time after a fall at her work where she needed an x-ray. they have her a leaflet of what they deemed as an emergency and told her not to do that again.

I think I’m going to head to the shop for yet again more tests like a crazy woman and take it from there then I’m going to call my GP first thing tomorrow morning. I am sick to my stomach with worry

I think given your past history of ectopic and your current shoulder tip pain then you should be seen at epu. It’s very hard to date ectopic pregnancy by when your last period was. I was actually 2 months pregnant with mine but thought I was just a few weeks.

user1473880439 · 31/10/2021 16:16

@FETOCT2021

I’m so sorry to hear, it’s an awful experience isn’t it. I don’t know how far I was as no one would tell me but I suspected around 4-5 weeks from ovulation tracking etc but like you said couldn’t be too sure.

It’s just like a really dull ache in the tip of my shoulder but I had to put deep heat max on it the other night as it was bothering me that much.

@user1473880439 I'm so sorry!! That's so horrible. I had an ectopic back in July so I know how you feel, I'd want to be seen immediately after a BFP, bleeding or not!

user1473880439 · 31/10/2021 16:30

@Bundaberg84

The doctor told me I couldn’t be seen unless I could produce a positive test. And they’re all so faint I could cry.

OP posts:
FETOCT2021 · 31/10/2021 16:32

But that’s really bad advice because hcg can be really low with ectopics. Can you not just turn up at epu?

Bundaberg84 · 31/10/2021 16:33

Did you try a digital?

user1473880439 · 31/10/2021 16:40

@FETOCT2021

I called EPU last week and they said I couldn’t just call I needed to be referred by GP who won’t refer me.

@Bundaberg84 no I haven’t tried a digital, what’s the sensitivity of them? I’m going to nip out shortly and see what I can get

Bundaberg84 · 31/10/2021 17:06

The CB ultra early is 10mlU/ml

FETOCT2021 · 31/10/2021 17:26

Sorry to hear that xx

user1473880439 · 31/10/2021 17:26

@Bundaberg84

I’ve just bought one of the ultra early digitals will let u know

user1473880439 · 31/10/2021 18:22

Tested with a CB ultra early digital and the smart countdown didn’t appear and then went to book error. Only bought a pack of 1 as well.

I must not of done it correctly, to be fair my little one was pestering me to get in the bathroom. Will need to retest with another at some point

OP posts:
Bundaberg84 · 31/10/2021 19:27

No! @user1473880439 so sorry!

user1473880439 · 31/10/2021 20:00

Starting to think I’m just symptom spotting and acting like a crazy person. So tired of this

OP posts:
Bundaberg84 · 31/10/2021 20:34

Don't be so harsh on yourself! We've all been there, don't worry. I find it to be hard sometimes as well, I had to take a month 'off' just for my sanity. Look after yourself!

Pugmumm · 31/10/2021 21:05

very faint second line on the first photo Thanks

obsessedpoas · 31/10/2021 22:00

Hate to say it but those tests are now really bad for indents. Once you've used them they nearly always show a grey line it's so frustrating Sad hope you get your wish soon x

toadstool32 · 01/11/2021 05:38

Could you afford a private scan?

user1473880439 · 01/11/2021 12:26

@Bundaberg84 thank you so much for your kind words it’s appreciated more than you know ❤️.

@Pugmumm thank you for commenting, I’m glad I’m not the only person that can see it I feel like I’m going insane.

@obsessedpoas I’ve read that recently online about those. It seems all tests are a bit sh*t just now. Including CB.

@toadstool32 yeah I’m looking into that. I’m hoping to just get my hcg measured with a blood test at EPU though due to my history with ectopic. Hopefully can get them to see me , if not this is my alternative for sure!
