Norethisterone - BBT question

Hi!

Me and my partner are waiting to start letrozole on my next cycle but, of course, AF doesn't want to show her head. I track my BBT and confirmed no ovulation had happened so started taking norethisterone to kick start AF. You can see where I started taking it as my BBT chart has marked it as 'ovulation'.

Problem is, I stopped taking the tablets 3 days ago but my BBT is still rising. From previous experience I've always got AF by now. How long roughly should it take to start leaving my system and be visible on my chart?

I'd be questioning if I was pregnant but BBT shows that I didn't ovulate so that's pretty much impossible.

I'm thinking, is it possible that I did ovulate on the day I started taking norethisterone? I have actually never seen a temp rise quite like the one I've had this cycle, although I know that's influenced by the norethisterone...

I've added in my last cycle for comparison.

What's going on?!

It kinda looks like you did ovulate and just have a slow rise 🧐

That's the norethisterone that's caused the rise :( it should start coming back down as I stopped taking it 3 days ago but nope... Still high

Did you do a test just incase??

Nickwinkle · 02/11/2021 14:56

I was thinking of leaving it as long as possible - up to 14 days after I started the tablets to test as I don't want any false negs.

I did one before starting them and obviously that was negative.

I've still not started my period and my temp is still high at 36.73

Getting kinda worried...
