For the small group of ladies still here from the original February bus from 2020.

Maybe 2022 is when we finally get our babies?

@MrsTwentyNine I realised I said "9+1 is a very reassuring place to be" when of course I meant to write 11+1!

Thanks for the tips, one day at a time. I think having milestones is the best way to go. My upcoming milestones are 6 Dec (scan 1 at 7+1), 13 Dec (scan 2 at 8+1) and 22 Dec (scan 3 at 9+3). Those are to keep me sane over Xmas haha. I will then wait for my NHS scan after that.

Oh, I'm just so happy to hear from you and to hear your news!

paintfairy · 28/11/2021 13:11

@MrsTwentyNine ah you're back! I thought we'd lost you forever! And I can't believe you didn't tell us! That's brilliant news. We've all been here so long it seems like something needs to finally happen.
@MimiArm hilarious that if this works out for both of us that our due date is only 1 day apart. 🤣 Given how long we've been here.

I'm struggling with being tired. And I'm permanently starving. I've tried to switch off to everything else though. My scan is still over 2 weeks away and I need to just pretend nothing is happening until then, as I can't cope stressing every day. As it won't change anything anyway. But all these milestones you have to get to are very stressful! I don't want to tell people until quite late, but how late is acceptable? I thought the 20 week scan, if I can get away with it. Then saw one girl on the ivf fb group miscarried at 22 weeks. 🙈 It just never seems 'safe' to believe its OK?

paintfairy · 28/11/2021 13:16

Oh and clearly I mean people I don't really see, telling them late. Not the ones I see and they wonder why I'm like a blimp. 🤣 But I don't actually see many people that often.

MimiArm · 28/11/2021 20:32

@paintfairy From what I hear, the worry never stops until baby is in your arms - then there's a new phase of worry after that. So ... buckle up 😂😂 and yes, it's very mad that we have due dates a day apart. If I go by LMP, my due date is the exact same as yours. My clinic used my supposed ovulation date though as day 14, which brings me a day forward.

Just a thought (and I'll not be offended if this suggestion is ignored) but given the four of us have been bonded together for so long on here now, maybe we should have our own private fb group? @MrsTwentyNine @Juno231 @paintfairy

paintfairy · 28/11/2021 21:04

@MimiArm it'll be interesting to see how they date you from the scans.

I would be happy to have a private fb group.

paintfairy · 29/11/2021 17:54

@MimiArm I had my letter through with my first midwife appointment date - 21st Dec. Says I have to think about screening tests. Also where I want to have the baby (that sentence sounds ridiculous) because I have to choose this at the appointment, so they can refer me for my 12 week scan etc. So you can't exactly sit and ponder ages. I mean, I still can't decide what bedroom wardrobes I want? Let alone that! I can't really ask people either, as that would be weird since no one knows about it. I've googled a bit though.

MimiArm · 29/11/2021 18:11

@paintfairy That's so early to be making those decisions! I think I'll prob have every test going but that's just me.

That's good though that you have an appointment this side of Xmas. Of course over here we don't have any such thing as booking appointments (we really get screwed over IMO).

I presume you won't be opting for a home birth?! It's hard enough wrapping your head around being pregnant let alone having answers to those questions at this stage!

I'm in such a down mood today. I feel like I should be feeling sick by now and I'm just not. Yes, I have sore boobs and bloat, but that could be the progesterone I guess. Other than that, just a stitch pain in uterus when I move suddenly or roll over in bed (I had that last time too, and the only time I get that is when pregnant). But I feel like the lack of sickness is a bad thing?

I've set up a private fab group. Don't ask me how to invite you to it as I don't know haha. PM me your name and a guide to what your profile pic looks like and I'll try and send an invite to you? I've never done this before ...

paintfairy · 29/11/2021 18:21

@MimiArm I know! I guess it's because that's where you'll go for scans etc. But having not been to either (maternity wise) I'm not sure how you are meant to know.

I've felt down also. My rhr has dropped again. I also don't feel much. Although I have felt queasy this afternoon, but it's trapped wind. I get a really sharp pain if I've been sat and suddenly straighten up, I can't decide if that's related but it really hurts. I've not had cramping or anything though. I think sickness often starts around 8 weeks (not everyone gets it, don't forget!). But if it comes in time for Christmas, that'll be a delight. 🤣
I'll PM you.

MimiArm · 02/01/2022 09:11

@MrsTwentyNine Hi 👋🏻 How are you? Did you have a nice Christmas and New Years?

How are you getting on? You must be getting close to 20 weeks now?

All good here - I'm 11 weeks now and still surviving 🙏🏻 Just waiting on NHS scan date, but they've said that it's likely to be during week 13. I've had private scans weekly though and everything is perfect so far.

MrsTwentyNine · 02/01/2022 13:04

Hey @MimiArm !! I'm well thank you! Finding out the gender today, I'm 16+5. Very excited but also nervous! Nausea has gone (very randomly get it but temporary)

How are you? Not long till 12 week scan 🤞🏽 Hope you've been feeling alright so far! Sorry I'm not much of a social media person :( But hope you and @paintfairy are doing well!! Nearly the end of first trimester!! You've got this!!

Any news from @Juno231 ? Hope you're okay @Juno231 x

MimiArm · 02/01/2022 13:23

@MrsTwentyNine Aw, that's great to hear. I'm sure you're very excited to find out the gender today!

I'm well - just have nausea most days, which seems to be worse in the evening time. And I feel really wiped out. I've been having weekly scans because I'm anxious and paranoid, but measuring perfectly each week (slightly ahead by a few days) and baby looks like a baby now! I've another scan on Wednesday, and I should be measuring 12 weeks then 😊

Don't worry about social media - here is fine 😊 I'm really pleased that everything is going well for you x

paintfairy · 02/01/2022 14:42

Happy new year everyone! I'm glad everything is going OK. @MrsTwentyNine Exciting about the gender scan! 😁 Don't keep us in suspense!

I've had to just go back and see what i last wrote! A lot has happened since then. 🤣
I had my 8+1 scan at the ivf clinic and was measuring 8+3 and all fine, so I'm discharged out into the real world from there. I had my midwife booking appointment on 21 Dec which was just going through the motions. Following that I then received my 12 week scan date for 14th Jan (I'll be 12+4), and I have an appointment the following week with the consultant. So I guess that's when they'll decide if I'm consultant lead? @MimiArm It did freak me out slightly as to why i had an extra appointment, as you don't usually as far as I'm aware. But I asked a friend (who was ivf) and she said that's why. And they did terrify her at it, with stats.

Today I went for a private scan to check everything was OK and I'm measuring 2 days ahead still, so it's remained consistent. Baby was asleep and I had to move about to wake it up, much to its disgust! Symptoms come and go so it's nice to have reassurance that everything is OK.

MrsTwentyNine · 03/01/2022 11:24

Ahh so nice to hear from you both!! @paintfairy how lovely to see the scan!! Hope you feel a bit reassured now. I think 12 week scan takes a lot of pressure off. You're nearly there! You both are 🙂

@MimiArm nothing wrong with weekly scans, anything to keep the anxiety at bay. I felt that they helped me too as I just couldn't wait between 12 --> 20 with nothing!

So excited for you both!! For us all!

It's a BOY by the way 💙 I was totally wrong ! Feeling a lot more real now! Got my 16 week appointment in a few days when I'll actually be 17 weeks according to the new dates they gave at 12! EDD is now 15/6/22. And then 20 week scan end of this month 🤞🏽Nausea has pretty much gone completely and now I'm just waiting around to feel some movement hopefully. Placenta is posterior so I'm hoping I can feel the kicks asap! People say that's when you start to relax more. We will see!!

paintfairy · 03/01/2022 11:30

@MrsTwentyNine 12-20 weeks is a massive wait! I will see what date i get given for my 20 but I might also book one half way through, just to break it up.
A boy! 💙🥳 Did you have a preference? My gut feeling is that mine will be a boy but I don't think we'll find out the gender. Let's see if I can hold off caving in. 🤣
I suppose once you start feeling it move, you'll know its still there. So possibly it's a bit less stressful. Until it doesn't move and you worry about that. 🙄🤣 The whole thing is one anxiety nightmare, isn't it. So much for just enjoying it. But fingers crossed 🤞🤞 for us all!

MimiArm · 03/01/2022 21:34

@MrsTwentyNine Ah, a boy 💙!! How amazing and exciting 🥰 I don't think it will be long until you start feeling baby moving around.

My 12 week NHS scan isn't going to be until I'm close to 14 weeks - so I've another private scan on Wednesday evening (I should measure 12 weeks then, or there abouts).

I had my booking appointment last week and I'll be consultant led so will be getting an NHS scan every two weeks all the way through. That makes me happy (even though it also means I'm high risk!).

Juno231 · 03/01/2022 21:54

@MrsTwentyNine a boy! That's fantastic! I've been keeping the girls up to date on FB so forgot to post on here that I got my BFP at the start of Dec! I'm 8 weeks today and have my first scan tomorrow. I'm kinda terrified there won't be anything in there though 😬. Current EDD is 15/08/22 so running two months behind you :)

MrsTwentyNine · 04/01/2022 11:03

Oh this is fantastic!!! We are all expecting together - I am so excited and over the moon for us all! ❤️ Huge congratulations @Juno231 ! Good luck with your scan today!

Thank you ladies! I didn't have a preference at all but I was convinced it was a girl as I had really bad sickness. Clearly the old wives tales mean nothing! @paintfairy I was way too impatient and had to find out gender asap! Though I'm not buying anything until 24 weeks+ ...You're right about the constant anxiety. But we just have to keep going and be optimistic 🤞🏼

@MimiArm I forget the cut off for when you can get the NT measurements ? Hopefully you can still get them done! But good that you're having extra private ones too :)

How have you all been generally? Has nausea started yet @Juno231 ? Mine started exactly at 8! Had it till about 15/16 if I'm honest.

paintfairy · 04/01/2022 11:19

@MrsTwentyNine I'm pretty sure all the old wives tales are nonsense. I didn't know the sickness one though? Oddly I felt nauseous and had massive aversion to smell etc that started around 5 weeks a little and kicked in properly at 6. I felt sick if I didn't eat constantly. But its now settled down and I'm mostly OK? Funny isn't it. I've been ok for the last week and then you worry its gone! 🤣 Which is why I went for a scan. I'm hoping it doesn't come back though! I do feel awful if I eat too much at night and I need to try to not eat big dinners but I just feel full and bloated and horrid, and sick through that, rather than anything else.
I also struggled massively with tiredness early on.

I would like to try to have a surprise at the end but i think I'll end up caving in and finding out what it is. 🤣

MrsTwentyNine · 28/01/2022 07:44

How are you all doing @paintfairy @Juno231 @MimiArm ?

Had my 20 week scan yesterday! All good except need to go back for a rescan as they couldn't see the heart chambers properly as he is a little wriggler !

Juno231 · 28/01/2022 10:56

@MrsTwentyNine ah that's excellent news! I'm all good - never had nausea/morning sickness in the end! Per my latest scan I'm 12 weeks today and I'm expecting a girl ☺️. Have my 12 week scan booked in for Fri! What's your due date again? Can't believe you're halfway through already!! Did your morning sickness go away completely in the end?

OP posts:
MrsTwentyNine · 28/01/2022 12:24

Fantastic!!! You know already it's a girl! That's amazing. Good luck with your 12 week scan! Hello second trimester soon 🥰

Yess luckily it settled after around week 16 except for veryyy random times now. Very bizarre. Though definitely true about having more energy in this middle trimester.

I think @paintfairy and @MimiArm should be around 16 weeks ? Say hello to them from me on the FB group if they don't see this.

MimiArm · 28/01/2022 12:57

@MrsTwentyNine Hey! Lovely to hear from you. That's amazing that you've had your 20 week scan and all looks well 😊 time is flying by, for all of us! When will your rescan be? How are you feeling?

I'm now just over 15 weeks. Had my "12" week scan last week and I've to go back next Thursday for bloods for the triple test.

We are going for a private scan next Thursday night to find out if baby is a boy or girl (I can't wait to find out haha). My 20 week scan is going to be on 1 March.

I've got a load of other appointments booked in too (midwife checkups and consultant appointments) so plenty to keep me busy!

paintfairy · 28/01/2022 16:30

@MrsTwentyNine Hey, glad you are OK. 20 weeks seems madness! I can't believe how fast it goes actually? I'll be 15 weeks on Sunday.
And if you are having a boy and @Juno231 is having a girl, statistically @MimiArm that means you and I will also be having opposites! 🤣 Be interesting to see!

MrsTwentyNine · 28/01/2022 17:17

@MimiArm it's in 2 weeks time! I have been stressing I couldn't feel movement for a few weeks but yesterday at the cinema, I knew exactly it was a kick. Such an odd sensation. They say it can take upto 24 weeks anyway but you know as with everything, I stress and stress 😂 That's good that you've got things to keep you busy! Exactly what you need! I have that re-scan and then my 25 week midwife appointment in March. The one I'm dreading is my gestational diabetes one at 28 weeks which I have a feeling I may be positive for ! Ahh so excited for you to find out gender. I was super excited for that too and now I have a name! Theo ...what do you all think ?? Theodore means "gift from God" and I just love that. Though I may just stick to the shortened version.

@paintfairy glad you're keeping well. Still can't believe we are all having our summer babies together ❤️ Haha I predict boy for @MimiArm and girl for you!!

Also @Juno231 how did you find out so early ?? I'm so impressed!

paintfairy · 29/01/2022 18:19

@MrsTwentyNine I really like Theo. But we have a dog in DHs family called that. 🤣 I'm trying to think of less common names but I'm really struggling. I just can't find anything I like. Girls names are easier but even then anything I look up is mega popular.
