Miscarriage, stop start bleeding and trying again

Hi

This is my first post on here. I just wondered if anybody had similar experiences to me that they could share. I have found reading the posts on here have really helped me.

I have just experienced my first miscarriage. I was only 6 weeks, so very early but i am still coming to terms with it.

I have a beautiful healthy daughter already and I am counting my blessings for that but this miscarriage has made me worry about whether I should try again.

I did so many pregnancy tests when I got a positive test, as the pregnancy itself was a little unexpected.

After around 7 tests (yes 7) I started to come round to the fact that I was pregnant and was so happy and excited to share the news with our families when the time was right.

The miscarriage felt so strange. One minute I felt very pregnant and the next nothing. Like it was taken away so quickly. I started to bleed lightly and was hoping it would stop but it didn’t. The following day the bleeding got heavier and that was it. I knew what was happening. I did a test and it was negative. Literally the day after I started to bleed.

I cant believe how quickly it happened.

I bled for a week and then it stopped. I stopped bleeding for 2 days and now it has started again. I have no pain or cramps, in fact I haven’t had any pain really through the whole thing. Just been very tired.

Has anybody else experienced stop and start bleeding in miscarriage? I read that your period usually takes around 4-6 weeks after miscarriage, although if I look at my usual cycle I would be having my usual period about now.

I am desperate to try again but anxious after this loss. I know that the advice is to wait for a period in between but has anybody been advised differently and tried prior to your next period successfully?

Anything you can share with me would be great and I really appreciate sharing experiences xx
