Conceiving after ectopic pregnancy

Hello,

I recently had surgery to remove an ectopic pregnancy and my left fallopian tube. The doctor said it looked like the egg was released by my right ovary and the left tube 'picked up' the egg. He also said my right tube looked swollen during the surgery but this was most likely because it was irritated from bleeding. I know that it is possibly to conceive with 1 tube as the tube can pick up eggs from both ovaries but I'm just wondering does anyone know if this happens if the woman has 2 healthy tubes? I am worried that my right tube isn't working if the left picked up the egg from that side, but maybe this is something that can happen even if both tubes are functioning properly. Can't see any info about this specifically online.

Thanks.
