Heavy ovulation bleeding?

Hi all,

I have been TTC for over a year now. (Due to covid I have not been able to see a gynecologist). I have Endo and apparent PCOS.

I stopped the pill last year October (so I've been off the pill just over a year) and my cycles have been quite long (35-40 days). I use a cycle tracking app, which shows that I'm on CD 18 and currently in my fertile window period. 2 days ago I decided to take an ovulation test and it was negative. Yesterday I noticed spotting and got a big fat positive result. However, the bleeding has increased (even though I'm not due for my period for another 2 weeks) and took another test today which showed another positive result. Even though my cycles are long, I have not had mid-cycle bleeding in over a year, which makes me think this could actually be ovulation (which I have not had since I stopped the pill).

So... how heavy is 'too heavy' for ovulation bleeding? I hope this all makes sense!

Hi hun,

Was wondering if you have an update of what happened in the end??

I'm currently experiencing mid cycle bleeding. My cycles are around 32-35 days. With my last one being 38 days. On cd20 I started spotting, it was watery, and has been going for 4 days now. But my period isn't due for 2 whole weeks. I have never bled mid cycle or any other time apart from my period.

Hope you're doing well x
