Hello everyone ✨🎉

I’m starting a November thread after being unsuccessful this month, got some spotting so probably cycle day 1 for me today, with fertile window being in the first week of November.

Please join me if you’re as hopeful about fresh cycle as I am!

My main goal is to DTD more, we definitely didn’t make the most of it in October …
I’m therefore going to be 100% honest with DH that we need to get down to business this cycle.

PS. Hope you like the title 🙈😂😂

Ahh...I feel for you lovely, @LittleMysSister! I hope your bloods come back with normal pre-preg levels so you can put this behind you, and move on!!!

Dobcaty · 10/11/2021 17:24

@Danani
I know how hard is to be on this route. I believe I am a positive person and trying to see always the good side of what everything happens. But I was on deep points (the last one only a couple of weeks ago) and then my spotting since ovulation) but I woke up today with some easy feelings. I know I’m out, no pressure, no watching the calendar, no BBT, even had a quicky this morning (sorry TMI, but its unusual for us 😅), started to do some Xmas decoration, went to collect pinecones, felt super happy today. And now I know why. Just read @Squiff70 comment about the ttc break. And it is really the break, which honestly I did needed it. I know its easer to say then done, but try to focus on things you love and you never know what the result will be in two weeks. 😘

Mummytobe93 · 10/11/2021 17:50

Ahh bless you @Danani I completely understand… it’s so hard, definitely look after your mental health (and your DH’s willy! ) and do what’s right for you!
You guys been through a marathon, so whatever the outcome treat yourselves cause it was bloody good effort😘

Thanks, lovely @Dobcaty!

I don't feel great, but I'd lie if I didn't say I feel better already after reading your response(s), so thank you so much for them.

I know I will feel like a completely different person tomorrow morning, I tend to snap out of these funks pretty quickly, but sometimes you just want to vent, feel sorry for yourself, have a little meltdown, and just let yourself feel how you feel.

I am loving the calendar tho! So looking forward to some good news in the coming week(s)!!! x

Danani · 10/11/2021 18:01

Ah thanks, @Mummytobe93!!
We have been through a bloody marathon (for us anyway). In the past 10 days, we've DTD 8 times. For us, this is a LOT.
Trust me, I've learned my lesson. Next time, I'm not doing a thing until that Peak reading. LOL.

lemons44 · 10/11/2021 18:30

@Danani I totally get it. As others have said it's such a fine line between DTD on the right days and not making it a chore! Me and OH had a blazing argument this cycle (resolved now after a heart to heart) because I was putting too much pressure on him and sucking the fun out of it (in hindsight I was becoming a bit of a woman possessed!). I think it can be really trying for couples at times. You're not alone.. it's so difficult and we're all in it with you!

I think what I've realised is that we are all likely to have good and bad cycles. Ones that go really well and ones that don't go to plan. Actually that's why I spoke to OH about the mooncup self insemination method which he has agreed to try (basically the man erm.. releases himself? 😳 into the moon cup and the woman just inserts it and raises hips for 20mins or so). For me it's a bit of an insurance policy for if we are too busy/tired, have opposing shifts, one of us isn't well etc. We would obviously do it alongside normal DTD but I'm hoping it takes some pressure off us if we get lots of obstacles in the way of frequent DTD. We are on cycle 8 now so really have nothing to lose by trying new things 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Totally understand if you need a break from MN but we are here if you need a vent anytime. X

@Danani so sorry you are feeling down and that your cycle hasn’t gone as you had hoped. It can be so tough when our bodies just start doing something different and then we don’t know what’s going on. Same as @lemons44 my partner and I are considering the self insemination route alongside DTD next cycle if this cycle isn’t lucky for us, just to take off some of the pressure of DTD on specific days and on demand. Completely understandable if you need to take a step away from the forum to clear your mind. Sending you lots of love 💕

BH1926 · 10/11/2021 19:19

@Danani so sorry your feeling down. My DH is the same if he feels the pressure is on to perform. Normally he's always up for it (typical male haha) but since TTC the schedule of DTD gets too much and he gets in his own head I think. I try not tell him when I O but it's pretty obvious cause I jump him haha. He keeps speaking about not putting pressure on ourselves but it's difficult as we know how little window of opportunity each cycle we get and I just don't think males understand it tbh. Totally get where you are coming from ❤️

Hope you feel better soon and maybe taking a break for a few weeks will help but we are always here so vent away! Better off your chest 💕

Coco9910 · 10/11/2021 20:06

I’m 7dpo and had some really intense pains around my uterus area today for about 10 mins. I couldn’t focus on my work as I just needed to breathe through it 😂 Why does TTC have me questioning anything my body does?!

Mummytobe93 · 10/11/2021 20:23

Sounds promising @Coco9910 ! My toileting is still irregular, I’ve got creamy CM, heavy lower abdomen (but again this can be constipation related) and I talked myself into believing my boobs got more visible veins 😂 it could very easily be all in my head!

I’ve got another night shift today so my temps are all over the place, next time I can get a reliable reading is going to be Friday morning, just before my first test 🙈

Good luck for tomorrow ladies @Mrslight @dory0 @MrsBiddy🎉

Firsttimetrier · 10/11/2021 20:51

@Danani I completely feel you. It’s so difficult and I feel the pressure to get everything lined up. I’m the type of person to have everything planned out and this seems so out of my control, even if we hit all the right days.

We’ve missed DTD tonight because of life and today is O, but my DH worded it quite well to me this morning - “we’ve done our best and sent them all (the sperm 😂) to the club, now we just wait and hope they are ready to party”. His weird analogy is quite good because you can only do your best and you got a couple of days in before!

Nico89 · 10/11/2021 21:04

Good luck for tomorrow @Mrslight@dory0@MrsBiddy 🍀🍀🍀

I'm looking for advise from anyone who has experienced implantation bleeding please... I don't know if what I'm experiencing is IB or a really weird period 🤔

Shortmamashortcycles · 10/11/2021 21:05

@Danani, omg I have BEEN THERE with the DTD partner frustration. 8 times in 10 days also sounds a lot though, poor dude...

If this cycle doesn't catch for you, I'd really recommend every other day - and only chuck in any bonus do's on your super peak days if you both fancy. There'll be loads of swimmers and hopefully your OH will feel it's more fun.

Really saved our sanity when TTC #2 and worked for us!

Shortmamashortcycles · 10/11/2021 21:07

@Nico89, hello I spotted before both my BFPs and also a spotter pre-period. What sort of colour and flow have you got, any idea on DPO and do you usually spot pre-AF? Basically, chuck your questions my way!

Nico89 · 10/11/2021 22:13

Hi @Shortmamashortcycles

So it started off tiny bit of brownish on Monday pm. Literally just when I wipe not even enough for a pad and has continued at the same amount or less. Today was slightly more pinky /pale red more like fresh blood but watery.

I'm now around 12DPO. I usually spot for a day or less before AF and get awful cramps then the flow quickly ramps up to much heavier over the first day or 2 of my period.

My cycle varies between 27 and 31 days so I basically thought this was start of AF but it so far hasn't amounted to anything and while I do have cramps they are very mild and intermittent.

Nico89 · 10/11/2021 22:15

Sorry pressed post before finishing...

I was reading about implantation bleeding but it's all quite vague and thought it better to ask from someone who has experienced it whether this sounds like it or a random cycle that's gone a but awry

Shortmamashortcycles · 10/11/2021 22:41

Hmmm, @Nico89 - I don't want to get your hopes up but that does sound promising! I mean, it could also be a weird cycle but it sounds a lot like my IB.

If it is IB, it should settle in the next day or so. Mine only ever lasted one or two days.

Do you have a pregnancy test you could use tomorrow morning, or would you rather wait in case of chemical pregnancy?

Nico89 · 10/11/2021 22:49

@Shortmamashortcycles I have some cheapies and a FRER in the cupboard but I've been putting it off so as not to test too soon or in case of CP. I've had 2 previous CP many years ago when I was ttc my 1st who is now nearly 6 and they really messed with my head Sad
I might try and hold out a couple more days to see if it stops or turns into something more. Thank you Flowers

Shortmamashortcycles · 10/11/2021 22:52

@Nico89, I totally understand, having lost a pregnancy myself. I'll keep all my fingers crossed for you over the next few days. Hope you manage to get some rest and mental space during the wait. ❤❤

SantiagoSister · 10/11/2021 23:00

Evening all, I have a question to pose to you all if you don’t mind, I’d really like some opinions please. We are off to a spa weekend this weekend, we have a body scrub and a full body massage planned. I am not sure exactly when I will ovulate, I’m having EWCM at the moment so I am assuming it’ll be in the next couple of days. I have read online how you shouldn’t have massages during the first trimester.. so now I’m worrying about whether I should still have my massages at the weekend if that’s when I could possibly conceive. I’m also thinking I should avoid the hot tub/sauna just in case? What would you guys do? Am I over thinking things (as usual 🙄)?

Bundaberg84 · 10/11/2021 23:12

Don't stress too much, a massage wouldn't hurt at that stage. If you worry you can change to a back massage and leave the belly out. Hot tub and sauna could potentially make implantation harder, especially if your body is not used to it.
Reading it again, the weekend is around your ovulation. I wouldn't worry at all and just enjoy yourself!

Mummytobe93 · 10/11/2021 23:35

Yeah, I think you definitely should enjoy your spa weekend, I’m jealous! If you’re only about to ovulate I really can’t see it doing any harm, even the massage- I’m assuming it’s not an intense, deep tissue one? Even if it is, ask them to go easy on your tummy 😉

Regarding the SMEP, unless you’ve got an amazing stamina, in my opinion it only works for people with usual cycle length, and usual ovulation time (around CD12-16). Then it’s only around 10 days in which you DTD every other day; (even this is very unlikely for me & DH)

Otherwise, if you’ve got a late ovulation, it’s truly a challenge to keep up with this schedule for weeks!

So let’s not stress ourselves out ladies; I’m sure we all did what we could, we deserve some credit for TTC month after month. 💕

Firsttimetrier · 11/11/2021 06:23

Morning all, does anyone here get ovulation bleeding? If so, do you get it every month?

Yesterday morning I had slight ovulation aches on my right side, which lines up with Flo predicting ovulation. Late last night I noticed some red blood when I went to the toilet, so I’m assuming I’ve got ovulation bleeding?

If it is, I’m not quite sure why it’s just started happening and if I should be concerned? It’s seems to have stopped this morning though.

I did also do a spin class last night which was the first in two weeks, so I’m wondering if it could be related to that? 😕

dory0 · 11/11/2021 06:39

Thanks @Nico89.

Morning everyone, hope you're all ok. BFN for me at 10DPO with a FRER. I would normally feel a bit sad but don't feel convinced just yet, I've had such different symptoms to the previous 4 cycles. Who knows, it's probably all in my head but think I will test again in 2 days at 12DPO if AF doesn't arrive. Good luck to anyone else testing today ☺️
