Hello everyone ✨🎉

I’m starting a November thread after being unsuccessful this month, got some spotting so probably cycle day 1 for me today, with fertile window being in the first week of November.

Please join me if you’re as hopeful about fresh cycle as I am!

My main goal is to DTD more, we definitely didn’t make the most of it in October …
I’m therefore going to be 100% honest with DH that we need to get down to business this cycle.

PS. Hope you like the title 🙈😂😂

Xxxx

Try not to panic @Danani I was literally like this a week ago. I felt like crying because I just didn't know what my body was doing (in fact I did cry!). My OPKs were rising then just started dropping. I normally ovulate on CD 12. Then all of a sudden I got a peak and ovulated straight after the peak on the same day.

What was weird for me this cycle was when my OPKs first started rising I got ovary pain.. then I didn't end up ovulating. Then when I actually ovulated on CD 15 it was my OTHER ovary than started hurting. So my theory is one ovary tried and failed to ovulate so the other ovary picked up the slack.

Hang in there x

@AppleTree16 def get him to pick up one in the shops later! No way could I wait until tomorrow. I had never heard of a picture inverter, just looked it up, I can see why that might make it clearer.

Has anyone else's peak OPK been under 1? My peak was 0.88 it was by far the highest reading I had. Still doing daily OPKs just to see and it gone back down v low. I had only been testing once a day so maybe I peaked earlier/ later. If I am doing these again next cycle I will up my testing to 2 times a day during FW.

Danani · 08/11/2021 10:28

Thanks everyone!!!

Ummm don’t know how to say this but tested half an hour ago again and…static smiley 🙈🤣 isn’t that ironic? After I had a good ol meltdown.
OPKs have jumped to 0.6, still not high but I expect a peak on them between this afternoon and tomorrow morning!

Now we need to get busy 😬😆 will report back soon! 🤞🏻

hopefulmumma90 · 08/11/2021 10:31

@Danani I’m sure it will defo come soon, I’m on day 3 of flashing smiley faces I had something the same again last year then the static one came after about 4 or 5days and I got the flashing one in morning and then I had a feeling I was ovulating and did a second one later in the day and it was static

I’m finding it so hard to try wait and dtd every other day as I’ve got flashing smiley at the moment and last two days have dtd every day and worry If I miss a day that I’ve missed my chance and that could been the time it happens

Bundaberg84 · 08/11/2021 10:31

Ah the irony! Now off you go DTD!

Nico89 · 08/11/2021 10:47

I keep seeing numbers with OPKs on this thread.. what are you using?

LittleMysSister · 08/11/2021 11:07

Morning ladies, bit of a grim update from me....my bfp has turned into a chemical.

Feeling OK about it though as tbh the whole thing was such a shock last week that I was panicking and worrying rather than feeling any happiness. I just couldn't come to terms with it. I feel like although there is a bit of sadness now, it has put me in a better headspace for the next time I see those lines appear.

Guess I'll be hopping onto the December thread when that appears :)

hopefulmumma90 · 08/11/2021 11:46

@LittleMysSister oh I’m so sorry to hear this ☹️ Let’s pray next time you get a bfp it will stick
I do believe that there is a December thread already but not sure what the name of it is though

Mummytobe93 · 08/11/2021 12:13

@LittleMysSister I’m sorry to hear that! I wish you a lovely Christmas BFP!

@Danani that’s good! Typical! You get on it girl 😜

@Irishfarmer I had my peak at 0.96 last month

I’ve rang my GP and they’ve still got a shortage of vials so they only do urgent blood tests … 🤨

That’s ok, I’ll just need to observe my BBT very closely

@Nico89 they are easy@home OPK tests. I got mine on amazon. You do the test, then upload your pic to their app. The app then "measures" the darkness of the test line vrs the control line to give you a number. They start low and should rise as you approach ovulation day. It's nice to see the numbers rising and plan for your "peak" day

@LittleMysSister so sorry to hear that :(

Squiff70 · 08/11/2021 13:04

So sorry to hear your news @LittleMysSister. Do you have any idea why you were struggling with your postitive tests?

I made a December thread which you are more than welcome to join if and when you are ready.

LittleMysSister · 08/11/2021 13:13

Thanks everyone x

Tbh @Squiff70 I think it's a combination of the fact that I had had the 2 negative tests prior to getting the bfp so it was the furthest possibility from my mind this month, especially with having zero symptoms, and also that I am a person that struggles massively with change and freaks out about anything major like this. I need time to process everything and grieve what's changing - quite weird, I know Grin.

I think with time I would have calmed down, but obviously didn't get that time in the end anyway. I feel like I am in a better headspace now though. I know 100% that I do want to have children so that kind of anxiety might just be something I need to push through for a few weeks at first, if I am lucky enough to get a bfp again.

Squiff70 · 08/11/2021 13:19

That's completely understandable @LittleMysSister. Getting a BFP is a life changing event for most people and like you many would need time to process it, myself included. Being faced with the fact that you may bring a child into this world and how that would affect your life is absolutely massive.

I hope you get that wonderful sticky BFP when you're ready xx

BH1926 · 08/11/2021 13:31

@LittleMysSister so sorry to hear that xx

Firsttimetrier · 08/11/2021 13:36

@Peauela Pregnacare messed up my last cycle, so this month I’ve stopped taking them! I need to find a replacement but I’m worried the same thing will happen again.

Even though I’ve explained the TTC process to DH a million times, he can’t grasp the concept of the timings. I think he’s so excited as he’s eager to know if DTD has worked already 🤦🏽‍♀️😂. I have to keep reminding him that it’s only day 3 of my fertile week and we won’t know until the end of the month. I think the TWW will go slower for him than me! Luckily, he’s on board to give the next few days our best shot!

Firsttimetrier · 08/11/2021 14:05

Really sorry to hear @LittleMysSister but I’m glad to hear you are in a better headspace. 💕

Bundaberg84 · 08/11/2021 14:42

I'm so sorry @LittleMysSister for your loss! I felt absolutely the same way like you when I had my chemical. I wasn't suspecting anything, the BFP was a bit of a shock to say the least and in a way it wasn't "real" yet in my head if that makes sense.

Peauela · 08/11/2021 14:59

@Firsttimetrier i heard it happened to quite a few people but I am willing to give it more than one cycle to see what happens. Although I secretly hope I won't have to 👀

Peauela · 08/11/2021 15:00

@LittleMysSister I'm sorry to hear that ☹️

Nico89 · 08/11/2021 15:19

Thankyou I might look into these I'm useless at reading them!

Hopingforarainbow27 · 08/11/2021 16:07

I’m joining here too! Af came today! I’ve had two miscarriages in one year. Hope some good news soon

dory0 · 08/11/2021 16:12

So much to catch up on. Hope everyone is ok. 7DPO here and told myself I wouldn't symptom spot and google everything this month (having surely read every webpage that exists in the previous 4 cycles), but guess what I still am! 😂

Whitfields09 · 08/11/2021 16:19

Hi All,

A little late to the thread but I would like to join in. This is cycle 6 for us TTC. I am 29 and OH is 32. We are due to get married in April. I have started with BBT tracking this month and I think it has actually helped me find my ovulation date. If I am right I am now 3DPO. My cycles have been a little off the last two months which I think is down to the covid vaccine.

Congratulations to all the BFPs and sending lots of positive energy to everyone.

Brunette1989 · 08/11/2021 16:23

Hi all,
Thought I would jump on here to try and help build me back up.
How do you all stay so positive? Been trying since February, lost a baby at 8 weeks in June and nothing since. Just keep crying all the time as just doesn't seem to be happening. Family and friends know we're trying so I can feel that expectancy, and with me being 32 I definitely feel that pressure as society sees over 30 as on Limited time I feel at times which really doesn't help.
I read the posts and try to work out all the things people are trying and get so worked up and confused, as everyone seems to be so much more on it then I am, even after only trying for a month it seems. I want a baby more then anything in the world so just don't know how to help my chances. Please help ladies xxx

Irishfarmer · 08/11/2021 16:29

@Hopingforarainbow27 sorry to hear of your losses, I had two MC within a year as well. It feels pretty crappy. I know some people said they hated to hear this, but it does give me hope that I at least know I can get pregnant. Both MC were under 10 weeks and consultants (I spoke to several in two hospitals, diff hospitals for MCs) that it most likely was down to an incompatibility of the babies chromosomes, that eventually a viable match will happen. Keep the chin up.
