Period after miscarriage

Good afternoon, I had an early miscarriage 6 weeks ago and still no sign of my period returning, I had a positive peak ovulation test just over two weeks ago and all pregnancy test are negative, head is all over the place waiting for my period or a positive test🙄just looking to see if anyone else had been in this position and what was the outcomes.

I had a MC at 7 weeks in June (although there was no gestational sac found on the ultrasound, so not sure if that affected my recovery time), and my doctor told me it could take up to 10 weeks for my period to come back as normal. My period actually came back about 4 weeks after the bleeding stopped so I think I was quite lucky.

It's so frustrating though waiting for everything to get back to normal isn't it. I know some people take some more time to recover but I just wanted to get back to TTC as soon as possible. I'm currently going through another MC at 10 weeks and I just want the bleeding to stop and my normal period to show up so that we can start trying again.

I hope your AF turns up soon, or you get a BFP if you've been trying this month. It's possible you just ovulated a bit late?

They can be all over the place for a while I have had 4 miscarriages and 1 cp and my first period after each has been different in when they come back.

Opk test are not really reliable normally after a miscarriage until you get your first period, hospital advised me not to use them, I used then once after my second loss for 3 days and never again.

Also your body can gear up to ovulate but not then can gear up again, so just because you got a positive opk does not mean you ovulated could of just been a spike. And them opk have been known to pick up a slight hint of hcg in you system even when pregnancy tests r nagitive. Hope you get your bfp soon.

I had a late miscarriage 17/08/21 at 23weeks, my period took 6 weeks to come, and lasted 8 days! Now hoping I ovulated this month, currently 9dpo and have a extremely faint positive, it’s driving my crazy

Hey i didn't want to read and run! I had a miscarriage in june at 7 weeks, its taken 15 weeks for my period to come back! I referred myself for counselling as i was so anxious and just wanted to get back to normal, it was probably a coinicidence but as soon as i started to relax my period arrived two days after!!
