TTC#2 EWCM for a week

Hi All,
We are trying for baby no 2, we were 18mths trying for baby no 1 and never got to the bottom of why it took so long. This month it said my ovulation day was a Tuesday (6 days ago) so we tried on the Sunday and Tuesday I took an ovulation test on the Wednesday and no line and again on the Friday and no line however I was still get ewcm and quite a lot on the Thursday especially. I'm really not sure what to think. I just don't want it to take as long this time.

Hey, just trying to sort out your timeline - you're using an app which predicted ovulation last Tues, you took OPKs Tues, Weds and Fri but haven't had a positive, right? And you've been getting ewcm for the full week?

My guess would be either that your body is gearing up for ovulation but hasn't yet (you can get two attempts at ovulation if for some reason the first one stalls), or you missed your LH surge somewhere in those testing days - if you only test once a day you can miss them.

Are you still getting ewcm or has it stopped now?

probably should have included cycle days, what I think could have happened is I actually ovulate on the Thursday not the Tuesday as that was the height of it. I could easily have missed it with opks as only had 3 left from last baby so used sparingly. we DTD on the previous Thursday, Sunday and Tuesday, all at night and was going to Thursday but things had dried up a bit. but then on and off I wipe and there is a tiny bit of ewcm happened last yesterday after a BM. I've noticed I have a lot more discharge in general since having my first

Yeah I'm thinking maybe you ovulated on the Thursday too. I think you and I are cycle twins - I had exactly the same thing, most ewcm on Monday, assumed I ovulated Tuesday but now thinking I ovulated later in the week as I'm having the same thing - ewcm which keeps turning up a bit when I wipe.

If you DTD on Tues night and ov'd on Thursday then I think you're covered either way, so best of luck for next week I guess!

yes fingers crossed I'm so nervous because it took so long first time. I'm a mix of hopeful but also not trying to get my hopes up either if that makes any sense
