Clearblue test faulty?

I did a clear blue +/- test (non digital) that has come up with a - line. But, there are 2 dots going vertically where the vertical line would be if its a + result. Is the test faulty or should i just read it as a - result?
I tested because i feel like i have morning sickness, i have 2 children so know the feeling. I have no idea what my cycles are doing as my youngest is only 1 and still breastfeeding....

Try doing another test in 2 days' time, if dots are coming up I guess it's possible you might have some HCG in your system but at v. low levels, a few days should give a clearer result that would tell you one way or the other.

had similar unconclusive result on one -tested positive about 3 days later so I put it down to it being too early

Hi - i would retest. I just googed this for you and found someone of Yahoo answers saying:

"Its a manufacturering defect. The blue '-' sign on the test is pre-printed or stamped. Those little dots are from that stamping process and not a positive results"

Not sure if this is true i would retest in the morning with first urine.

poppy... did it have dots? these are 2 dots, pinprick size...really small!

i googled too and saw that. there was another that said they had dots long the vertical line and tested positive 3 days later. thanks for looking lcy

Well if you were pregnant your hcg will of increased since Friday so you may get a positive result tommorow if you are pregnant.

similar - v.faint/dotty line.. did test on friday and by time i did another on tuesday was conclusive
