CP and BFP 2 weeks later

Hi, two weeks ago I got a faint BFP on a first response test. The next day I got my AF which from memory was normal bleeding so I assumed it was a CP.

Then yesterday (2 weeks later) I had a positive ovulation test and noticed when I wiped I had some spotting. The spotting has been on and off since then. I decided to take a pregnancy test today and got a very clear BFP.

I’ve been really thirsty and tired the last few days. Not sure what is going on. Will call my GP tomorrow but in the mean time…Anyone have any advice?

Do you have a pic of the test could it have been implantation bleeding? X

Thanks for replying @mummyjojo19

I'm a new member so it won't let me post photos yet. If it is implantation bleeding I'm just confused on the timing. I don't usually ovulate until today (cd14).

Was it a strong line? X

Yes, obvious and very pink

Can you get a digital see what the weeks indicator says to give you a clearer idea xx

Tassie101 · 18/10/2021 02:25

Thanks so much for your advice @mummyjojo19

I took a digital and it says 3+ weeks. I'm sure it's not a good sign. I've booked in with my gp for this afternoon so will go from there.

I would say 3 plus is a very good sign and it's likely the bleed you had a couple of weeks ago was implantation. Keep me posted how it goes with thee gp thinking of you xx

mummyjojo19 · 18/10/2021 18:24

How did it go with the gp @Tassie101 xx

Tassie101 · 18/10/2021 21:57

Just waiting on blood tests, thank you so much for checking in. Will let you know when I get them xx

Hi @mummyjojo19 so HCG levels came back high, which is good but I'm still having the occasional spotting so going to repeat bloods on Thursday and go from there. Trying to not get too ahead of myself.

Thanks for your support! Means a lot!

Some women do have a fair bit of bleeding during pregnancy unfortunately although they do have a healthy pregnancy, it can cause stress. My fr it is didn’t realise she was pregnant to begin with either as she thought she had her period.

If you’re unsure of dates they may see you slightly earlier for a scan to help clarify things. Congratulations!

@Tassie101 I look forward to hearing how the bloods go on Thursday have they offered for you to visit epu for a scan to make sure everything is OK? Xx
