Hello ladies just looking for some advice. My “period” came a day late this month but has been very light compared to normal although has lasted 5 days so far. I did have one day of a slightly heavier flow but still didn’t fill a pad all day.

I have today started having pains in my side and a pink discharge so took a test to rule anything out. It has come back looking like this. Very confused right now. Test line looks quite blurred

Looks like it's a positive, can you maybe re-test tomorrow morning?

SLW2022 · 16/10/2021 20:43

@sak96x yeh I can do I was just concerned because of the pain so was trying to rule it out. I had a chemical in June so think maybe the same thing has happened 😩 x

Why do people do this? Why not start your own thread?
Workinghardeveryday · 16/10/2021 20:59

@ffiffi123 because she saw this thread on the same subject and already worried!!

I don’t understand why you would say that other than to make her feel bad?

SLW2022 · 16/10/2021 21:00

I can’t even see the test picture but I agree. Slightly insensitive when I’m panicking I’m either having an ectopic or another chemical 😢 x

Because of this @Workinghardeveryday Hmm

How many threads are there on 'line eyes' etc?! It takes just as much time to create a thread as it does to comment on one Confused

Workinghardeveryday · 16/10/2021 21:12

@ffiffi123 okay, point made, I will wynd my neck in 😬

SLW2022 · 16/10/2021 21:20

Sorry I didn’t mean it to cause offence. I just feel so lost and confused. I can’t see the other test or id offer a genuine opinion.

I just feel like this is bad news for me so was a shock to see someone comment that. I can see that it was prob the title of the thread that caused the post though x

Looks like a positive to me. Isn’t it true some people still get light periods in pregnancy and all is well? I hope now it isn’t bad news for you, but I would take that as a positive test.

SLW2022 · 16/10/2021 21:35

@Yummymummy2020 I have heard that but I did have a few small clots when I wiped the one day although no day has been enough to even half full a pad which is strange for me because I suffer very heavy periods. Maybe I will just have to wait and retest and see what happens with that test and go from there. Just concerned in case it is ectopic as I already have PCOS and endometriosis so loss of a tube on top is the last thing I want but also don’t want to bother the NHS at a time like this either x

This is how it looks now it has dried x

You have a positive pregnancy test and pain, that is enough to check for ectopic.

Light pink bleeding is common in ectopics, but is also common in implantation bleeding.

Please contact your early pregnancy unit.

Holskey · 17/10/2021 00:17

This is exactly when you use the NHS. You are pregnant and have pain, bleeding and a previous ectopic. I wouldn't want you to panic and I hope all is well, but please seek medical attention to rule it out.

Jamielouise1993 · 17/10/2021 08:56

Because I don’t know how to do it I’m new to this?? I’ve only just figured out how to reply to a thread!!!! Sorry for the inconvenience

ZenHarmony · 17/10/2021 11:01

Have you taken any more tests? That’s got a strange dye run. Also, not sure if anything can be seen on ultrasound if so early but you could do hcg tests to see if rise is normal or signifies ectopic. Hope you’re ok it’s a worrying time Flowers
