Ovulation pains

Does anyone else get ovulation pains, if so how painful are they?

Over the past couple of months I’ve noticed mine significantly, although last night they woke me up they were so strong, on a scale of 1-10 I’d say they were a 6. Is this a good sign or not?

Hello,

I get ovulation pains but they last maybe 3-4 hours on and off. I would say they are 5/10, enough to notice them but I don’t need to take any painkillers and can go about my normal day.

I think honestly it depends on the person. When I was a teen it often took my breath away so much I needed an ultrasound to see what it was but now as I’ve got older the sensation is still there and every couple of months I may need to take a couple of painkillers. I would take it as a positive that you’re able to gauge what is happening ☺️

Mine are similar to period pains with the odd twinge. Not very painful

Since having my 2nd I get ovulation pain and nausea around ovulation. I have very irregular periods so it does let me know that my period is on its way.

If it's a new pain, it might be worth getting it checked out or at least having a conversation with your GP.

Good advice from @snackcurator. Check out anything that's not normal for you, or that you've noticed get worse. You might have a cyst (I've got one). They're pretty common but there are different types and sometimes if they grow they can get a bit aggro.

I get awful ovulation pain. In fact I feel follicules growing from day 5 of my cycle all the way to day 15 when I ovulate. Its horrible stabbing pain, bloating and nausea that peaks at around day 14/15. Then my ovary feels bruised for a day or two. Its not fun... Been trying for baby number 2 for 4 years and despite perfectly regular cycles no luck yet but I do have lots of issues. Anyway my ovulation pain is crippling and I hate that. All of that on top of really painful period. 🙄
I guess it is a good sign of fertility for most people...

Mine sound similar to @addictedtotheflats. A few days before ovulation I start to get a tight feeling in my lower abdomen, kinda like a very very light cramp.
