Cold appeared same time DTD :(

Hi all,

Anyone had experience with TTC with a cold and if any medicines you have had to take had any bad affect ? is it worth just trying to chug through the cold without medication ?

Sorry if this is a silly question. 2nd cycle here and looking to DTD next week when ovulation occurs but past 2 days have had a very bad cold occur.

No experience but I know some people take decongestant medications containing the ingredient guaifenesin to loosen up their cervical mucus during fertile days. So you could take that and it might help with the cold AND TTC! I read some time ago that ibuprofen is a no-no (inhibits inflammatory action of ovulation, as I recall) but aspirin around time of ovulation can improve chances. Get better soon and good luck!
