Hi guys

Been TTC for a year an half. Been having irregular periods for a while so very hard to track ovulation etc.
My periods were on the 25th September and finished on the 1st October.
I have just had a light bleed now when I wiped. Does this look like spotting ? Or could I just of started my periods again. Sorry for the picture I'm just very unsure.

Any advice please ?

It couldnt be your period if your last period only finished 10 days ago - so must be spotting. Could be ovulation spotting (rare but does happen)
i would take a test just to see

Hi I’ve had bleeding like this the last 2-3 months around ovulation. Also been ttc over a year and a half. My GP has now referred me for colposcopy 😞 to investigate. Do you know if you have an ectropian/ cervical erosion ? If so could be caused by this. If you have this for 3 months or more then mention to your GP.

@SlothMamaToBe awww your in the same boat as me. Erm I'm not sure what is an ectropian/ cervical erosion?

They've checked my bloods an hormone levels all ok and they all did an internal scan last year which also came back fine. They haven't suggested anything further as of yet.
I think it could just be I'm starting my periods again🤦‍♀️ or as you've said ovulation spotting. Don't want to get hopes high just to be let down again. X

Ectropian is where your cervix is sensitive to bleeding (sometimes after sex) due to cells that line the inside of your cervix growing on the outside. It’s harmless but needs to be checked out to make sure nothing else sinister going on. Even if your periods are irregular that would be a really short cycle. Did you have sex before you noticed the bleeding ?

@SlothMamaToBe ohhh right the doctors haven't mentioned anything about checking that. Il call them to see if they can. I have had bloods an scans etc but they all came back as fine an the docs said it's just one of those things. So not very helpful if I'm honest.

Yes as soon as I came off my periods on the 1st October we had sex straight away. An we've been having sex every 3 days since then. So only had sex 3 times since then. The bleeding seems to only be when I wipe. But this did happen last month 2 weeks after my periods I had some spotting but then 3 days later I started my periods again 😩

@yummymummy1230 if it was 2 weeks after your period then sounds like ovulation bleeding, especially as is just when you wipe (this is what I have too but they need to check it out because it’s happening every month). Was it a proper period you had ? With abdominal pain and everything? If your bloods are normal then that doesn’t make much sense with such irregular cycles.

@SlothMamaToBe if it's ovulation bleeding then am I ovulating now? Sorry sounds like a silly question I'm just confused as I haven't really heard of ovulation bleed. Yes I had a proper period twice last month like with the usual leg pain etc.

I know I have mentioned it to doctors and they are aware they just haven't suggested anything again. I guess I have to keep chasing it up with them. I think I may just be starting my periods again as this is what happened last month. I thought it was spotting was very gutted

@yummymummy1230 you could be ovulating or around now anyway but obviously only a medical professional can determine the cause of bleeding. If it’s ongoing between periods then definitely speak to your GP.

@SlothMamaToBe The bleeding seems to be getting slightly heavier and is a bright red colour. So not sure if it's actually a period. It could be. Jus have to wait a few more days an then jl know for sure if it's jus a period. It's so confusing. I'm going to call docs tomorrow an make an app as it just stresses me out more
