This is my first month TTC baby number 2. My cycles are usually super short, 24-26 days. I don't temp and started doing using clearable OPKs right after my period ended on cycle day 8. I was testing first thing in the morning and results were:
CD8 - circle (low fertility)
CD9-CD11 flashing smiley
CD11 at 11pm in the evening static smiley

I know this could mean I ovulated 12-72 hours after that but that's a big window so just wondering what assumptions people make when counting DPO and when I should try testing. Currently on CD 17 so still v early

Thanks

Hi OP, CD11 was your peak, so O was either CD12 or CD13.

If you're CD17 today, I'd say you're either 4 or 5DPO (extremely early to even be thinking of testing).
I wouldn't test until minimum 10 DPO (and that's still super super super early). If you can wait, hold off till day your AF is due for most reliable result.
To be honest, when a result will show on a test really depends on when implantation takes place. It could happen any time between 6-12 DPO - and when it does, it takes your body 2-4 days for that pregnancy hormone to built up enough, for a test to show it. So if you implant early, yes, you could see something 9-10 DPO (probably), if you implant late, even at 12 DPO it might be BFN. Does that make sense?

Hope you get your BFP, but if you can stay away from the tests until day of or after missed AF! Good luck! x
