Stopped mini pill ttc

Haven’t posted here for a very long time. 3 years ago I had an ectopic…after a tough time and a split from my partner things have moved on and at the start of sept i started the ttc journey ones again. Slightly scared as only have 1 tube now and history of endo, so know I have lower chances but I have to give it a chance. Was on mini pill for almost 3 years , stopped sept 8th. Had really sore boobs every since 2 weeks off the pill .Last weekend , 3 weeks after stopping I had cramps and was sure period was coming , felt really sick and pretty horrible and was taking plan killers for cramps. No period came and after 3 days cramps went away . So no idea where my body is or what is going on! Just would like to hear if anyone had similar experiences in first month of coming off pill

Following your thread as I could have wrote a lot of it myself. On the mini pill (mine was cerelle) for 11-12 years and came off on 18th September to TTC #1. Had sore boobs on and off and a few pains but other than nothing! I read some horror stories about women having terrible migraines and the worst side effects you can think of after stopping the mini pill but it’s been 3 weeks for me so far and not anything too crazy to report.

I haven’t had my withdrawal bleed yet either, although we have been DTD a lot in the last few weeks so although it’s unlikely I’ve ovulated and conceived in that time, it’s possible. Like you I have no idea what my body is doing or going to do. The fact lots of ladies on here know exactly when AF is due or their ovulating etc is fascinating to me 😂

I think until I have my first withdrawal I’ll have to test every couple of weeks or so in case I fall beforehand.

Like you I am eagerly waiting for my first withdrawal so I can get cracking with knowing my cycles! It’s so weird, I missed a pill a couple of times last year and had some withdrawal spotting with just missing one pill a couple of times and since stopping altogether 3 weeks ago….nothing 😂

Like you I missed odd pill here and there and got spotting but now stopped all together got nothing!

I think testing every now and again till we get a period sounds like a good idea. I have just ordered some cheap ones on Amazon. I don’t want to get carried away with testing as last time was so stressful that I want a more relaxed approach this time!

Boobs still very heavy ! But no other symptoms of pms right now

I stopped the mini pill last year and it took around 4/5 months to get a period (it decided to turn up a day before I went to Corfu!) and other than the really painful boobs and nipples I didn’t really have any other symptoms!
I had about 4 periods (only 2.5 weeks in between periods!) before I decided to go back on the pill. I don’t know if I actually ovulated in that time as we were not actively ‘trying’

I would wait for your first proper period and then use an app to track them so you can get in the rhythm of things again!

@PinkFizz1 me too! Nearly 5 weeks for me . Boobs are killing . Did a test but was negative

@BLM18 me too! Tested on Friday. Think I’ll test in 2 weeks. I’ve had a fair bit of EWCM since Thursday so hoping somethings happening!

Don’t know if I want my withdrawal or a BFP 😂 either would be fab!

@PinkFizz1 after few days of spotting AF is back … think it’s a normal period as seems like before , shock to have this pain again!! Dosed up and hoping next few days goes by quick enough !

Hi @BLM18 how are you getting on?

I started light brown spotting on Friday and Saturday, but since Saturday evening…nothing! I have no idea if that would count as my withdrawal? I’m going to test on Friday anyway but I’m still none the wiser as it wasn’t really enough for a withdrawal?!

@PinkFizz1 i spotted for about 3 days then started proper bleeding but was only heavy for one day day : did have quite a lot of cramps . So will see how this month goes but hopefully has reset me . Hopefully yours comes properly !

Hi ladies. I stopped mini pill 4 weeks, no period, cramps come and go, negatives tests. Should I keep waiting or should I get concerned as I'm getting worried?

@Chihwa it’ll come soon I’m sure. I came off Cerelle at the start of November, had withdrawal bleed on November 8, ovulated November 25 & then my first proper AF on December 8 this month. It is different for everybody I was on this pill for 10 years too with no break until November & my cycle came back really quickly but I think it takes a lot longer for most people. Keep waiting for now, if you’re having cramps then something must be happening. I had no cramps at all, just sore boobs.

@Chihwa don't worry, I came off the mini pill in October, I didn't have a period for 40 days and now I'm feeling back to normal. It can take a little while. I had cramps come and go too.

@Chihwa don’t worry . Mine took around 6 weeks to get a period and been every 4 weeks since . Takes a while to settle . I’m now on my 3rd cycle since stopping and slowly getting back on track

Thank you so much ladies. It's wierd that when I used to miss a pill I'll have spotting.

In July I took a break just for 4 days as I had had no period for months. I had a period that time for 7 days.

Now I've intentionally stopped so we can prepare TTC but amazingly not even spotting. But I guess it is a waiting game.

I know, it's so strange - I used to bleed when I missed a pill but when I came off completely I didn't even get a withdrawal bleed! It will happen though, just give it some time 😊

@Sassy144 really pleased to know its not only me. I was starting to have all sorts of unpleasant thoughts of what is likely wrong. Google has not helped too 🙄.

It's now 6 weeks, no period yet, light cramps here and there, everything else normal. I am not even wasting my Clear blue test (too expensive). Trying to stay cool but its really hard 😱.

It is hard! I found that charting my BBT (temperature) helped as I could see when I ovulated, which happened on day 30
