Late positive or strong evap?

This result appeared sometime after the 10 minute window, but I've googled what an evap looks like and this doesn't seem to fit. It's a strong line and it's coloured, but nothing showed up during the original testing window. I'm so confused :(

I'm 6 days late, which historically I've never been except when pregnant. I have been tracking my cycles for >5 years, and no matter how stressed/unwell I am, whether I've had major surgery or anything else, my period is always on time. A few years ago I had a pregnancy that never showed up on home tests, so I didn't discover until I was 8 weeks along, and I miscarried soon after. I am worried that this will be a repeat of that, or perhaps an ectopic pregnancy, as I've had some pains in the right hand side of my pelvis. I have already asked my GP for a hCG blood test, which I'm having next week.

Late positive or strong evap?

I’d just do another when you can, also I always binned them after the time window lapsed to avoid the temptation of looking at them

I think this is positive! If it was an evap it wouldn't have any colour to it! But take another just to be sure 😀

Looks postive to me

Had another BFN this morning using those cheap strips, still no sign of my period. This is driving me mad!

I have bought some extra early CB digital tests which I'll try in a few days, and my blood test is on Tuesday. If I hadn't experienced this exact same thing before then I'd just chalk it down to late ovulation, but I've been pregnant with multiple BFNs so I don't trust it Sad

Honestly, I've never seen an evap like that! The cheapos aren't as sensitive as CB either? At least I don't think. I'd try another CB the same as that one xx

Another negative this morning, on the CB ultra early digital test. I'm over a week late now, this makes no sense! I know I could have just skipped ovulation but I don't fully trust these results either. I guess I'll just have to wait for the blood test, I'm starting to get paranoid that it's an ectopic pregnancy or something Sad

It’s not really a 10 min window is it? The result should be there within 3 minutes. It’s definitely not valid after 10 minutes sorry.

The instructions say to disregard any results after 10 minutes, that's what I meant. Yes, a positive should appear within 3-5 ideally.

I had an evap that looked exactly like that - thin and slightly to one side. Sorry OP. I’d only ever buy pink dye tests as the blue ones are notorious for it.

Thanks, that's good to know.

We aren't actually TTC, so I won't be disappointed if I'm not pregnant, but I just want to know where I stand either way. I wish I could just get my period or a BFP and stop being in limbo.
