Do I have time to wait to start trying

If you already have a child how long did it take you to get pregnant a second time?
I had my first at 29, 31 now and thinking about another, do I have time to wait or should I get cracking now?

The first was a complete accident (was using protection) so feels really strange to be planning 🙃

It's impossible to say for sure OP! You should be fine (given your age and you had no problems first time), but secondary infertility can occur for some couples.

Hi there! You are very young and from the sound of it, you shouldn't have any problems with the 2nd.
I am much older than you, I have a son, and we've been trying for, well it feels like for forever, for a second without success for far. Now we started IVF and hopefully, we'll get results soon. But I completely understand you for the planning thing. It feels weird to me too. I hoped that this part of my life I wouldn't have to plan, but what can we do?
In any case, sorry for the long post, I would suggest waiting a bit longer but to start thinking about planning in the future.

Do you know how many you want altogether? There's stats about things getting more difficult from 35, so if you only want two, you've got some time; if you want more, you might want to begin trying soon. Problem is, it could be first try or it could take a year or more... No way of telling!

I'm on the 'crack on' way of thinking, but I'd be happy with a minibus full of kids in the end

There's never any way to tell. If you definitely want more I wouldn't wait.

We just want the one more but I think you are all quite right there is no way of knowing so I should get going 😂
