Started a new pill (desorex) just over 2 weeks ago but have felt pregnant thought must be to do with the new pill. Did a digital test just to be safe there it is in words PREGNANT following day I bought 4 more test 2 digital 2 not. Negative on all 4 ????
Could my pill have caused false positive I no it's very rare not sure what to think

Could it have been a chemical pregnancy? Either that or a one off dodgy test though I find this unlikely as digi tests require higher HCG levels...

Was it clear blue?

WhoUsedMyName · 26/09/2021 20:12

I had the same experience. I did a test with CB digi last year as my period was a day late (usually I’m to the day). I got ‘pregnant 1-2’ wasn’t trying at the time and was being careful so was completely shocked. Followed it up with 4 FR, another CB digi, Tesco own brand and boots own brand and ALL negative! I was so confused and worried. I spoke to the GP who advised it’s impossible to get a ‘false positive’ due to the presence of HCG so I had blood tests which confirmed I was in fact not pregnant! I genuinely believe it was a dodgy one and will never trust CB again!

Oh wow! Thank you for telling me. That makes sense as I've never picked up on a digital but not a frer before so odd. Bad really because they are the most advertised aren't they

@WhoUsedMyName Really bad! It’s scary and could cause people extreme heartbreak if they’ve been trying for a while. After googling I found lots of people with the same experience also. Sorry you had to go through it.
