I recently had a chemical pregnancy and it has really changed my mindset. I have started really grief thinking about my ovulation dates and have ordered some ovulation tests. They really confuse me, I’m supposed to be fertile this week however my ovulation tests are all over the place. I would love some advice or info on what your ovulation was testing before actual positive!! I am super new to this! Thank you!! Xx

Sorry to hear about your chemical 😔

Ovulation tests that are 'negative' (while building up to ovulation) vary from extremely faint second lines to even quite bold dark (almost positive looking) second lines.
Everyone's are different and your own test lines could even be different month to month or when using different brands.
Therefore the only way to judge a positive test is to wait until the second (test) line is honestly, genuinely as dark as the control line or darker! That's when it is positive.

Some people say the tests don't work for them at all but are still ovulating but I think that's more rare! So you will likely see a positive each month if you use the tests correctly.

I read the best time to test is 2-8pm until you see an almost positive result and then you can start testing everyone 2-4 hours to catch the positive result!

Once you're confident you have a real positive then you will ovulate within 24-48 hours (ie could be 5 hours could be 30 etc) this will also vary month to month and person to person.

I hope some of that helps?
