It seems AF is coming to get me end of this week (Fri), so instead of feeling sorry for myself I’m trying to look forward to October and getting to try again! šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»

Anyone else with me?

@Firsttimetrier, I’d say you’re right on track to get your static tonight/tomorrow! Sounds about right with the length of your cycle!

If your O is tomorrow, you’d only be 9/10 DPO on the 22nd. I think it’s way too early, especially because you don’t know when you’ll implant. See, implantation can be any time between 6 and 12 DPO. Your body needs 2-4 days after implantation to build up enough pregnancy hormones so a test can detect and show you a positive. I think 13/14 DPO is the earliest if you hope for a reliable result. Otherwise, you risk getting a BFN even though you still may be pregnant.

Trust me, I did the early testing schtick last time from like 8 DPO, and it did nothing other than consistently disappoint me every single morning till AF showed up.

If you can wait, wait. šŸ¤žšŸ»

Thanks so much for the warm welcome everyone :)

Would anybody mind having a quick look at my app for this month? I think the app is called My Tracker and I prefer it to Flo and a couple of others.

The pink squares are my predicted AF dates, so 15th - 18th October. The purple ovals are when I've had true positive OPKs and in the middle of those, the 5th and 6th were a very dark line on the OPKs so I guess my most fertile days.

What I don't understand is my LP is normally 14 days, but according to this app, this month it is 9 days. On 1st October is roughly when I should have ovulated. I am soooo confused and any advice would be appreciated Confused

Keeping my fingers firmly crossed for everyone on this thread!

Hi all! I've been away for a couple of days, had visit from my husband's sister for a week, had a great time and it was awesome to not think about TWW. I'm 9dpo now, didn't do any symptom spotting so far. AF due on Friday.
Congrats @Vwhite! Flowers

Cruz86 · 11/10/2021 10:37

If we're not successful this month @Firsttimetrier, we'll definitely have learned our lessons for next cycle šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Firsttimetrier · 11/10/2021 10:37

@Danani I thought that would be the case! Ahhh going to be the LONGEST days of my life! 😟😬

Cruz86 · 11/10/2021 11:13

I'm still getting peak this morning!! What is going on 😩😩

Danani · 11/10/2021 11:15

@Cruz86 surely that’s good news, no? The end is nigh! Maybe you’ll O later today/tonight! šŸ¤žšŸ»

Welcome back @Bundaberg84! Glad you had a lovely time not fixating on the TWW! :) Are you planning to test or wait for AF?
Very exciting so many of you are coming to the end of the wait this week!! šŸ€

It'll be my third day of peak tests though. Which means ovulation keeps getting pushed back a day!

Danani · 11/10/2021 11:20

Hmmm šŸ¤” that’s interesting! But I guess it’s not not normal! Remember what @Mummytobe93 shared! You seem to be in the Plateau pattern! Hopefully today is the third and last! X

Omg I have so much catching up to do. I hope you don't mind me sticking around? My AF was a bish and so painful like getting it Itself wasn't enough šŸ˜‚ CD4 today and it's slowly going away. We're excited to start trying again.

How's everyone doing? @Danani I see you managed to BD a lot, fingers crossed for you this month šŸ¤žšŸ»

@Vwhite congrats ! So exciting!

purpleskyssssss · 11/10/2021 11:28

Hey all hope everyone is doing ok, just wanted to get onto the October bus.

I have had a few weeks/ days off MN with the arrival of AF and my bday - I have made the most of relaxing and enjoying my very long winded birthday celebrations 🤣.

I'm 10DPO today not due to ovulate till next Friday, feeling positive and OH has finally had his SA taken, YAY 😁

Cruz86 · 11/10/2021 11:30

Yeah you're right @Danani. I'm stressing unnecessarily! Need to relax x

Mummytobe93 · 11/10/2021 11:30

I think only first peak is what matters, and that’s when you’re about to ovulate. Some doctors say to just stop testing after the first positive OPK because you’re fertile only about 12-36 hrs after you detect it.

Oh really?! I'm so worried about my body gearing up for it and then not actually releasing an egg, but then missing it if I stop dtd x
Danani · 11/10/2021 11:48

@Cruz86 why are you worried about that in particular? Like, has it been an issue with your first baby? If not, then, I don’t think you have an actual reason to worry, lovey! X

No it wasn't an issue šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø I had my first peak test and didn't test after that. And fell pregnant that cycle! I just don't know when to stop dtd haha x

Danani · 11/10/2021 11:53

Oh hey @Peauela šŸ‘‹

Yay for AF going away! You have time for another try at the lucky October! šŸ€šŸ¤žšŸ»

We managed to BD , yes, not sure if I’ll class it as ā€œa lotā€ especially compared to other champs on here like @Firsttimetrier or @Cruz86 šŸ˜šŸ˜‚ but we tried! Now we wait.

2 DPO is booooring.😓

OP posts:
Danani · 11/10/2021 11:54

@Cruz86 if you stop testing after you detect a peak, I’d say you’d want to DTD the day of the peak, the day after and the day after that. And I’d draw the line there. šŸ˜„

Bundaberg84 · 11/10/2021 12:24

Thanks @Danani - I try to hold out. I don't feel any pressure right now, but that could change any day as usual.

HRHXO · 11/10/2021 12:27

Hey! I had a weekend off MN as it was my mums birthday over the weekend so been a bit busy. I think AF stopped yesterday so from tomorrow I will be doing OPKs and I'm excited to try again this month!

I've only been at my new job about 5 weeks which makes me a bit anxious but I'm 31 and TTC #1 so don't really want to put it off any longer!

Good luck to all!

misstickhill · 11/10/2021 12:29

@Danani I’m with you on the boring 2DPO wagon.

I’m feeling optimistic today though which is something I struggled with last month. I shared my OPK pics and chart yesterday and was worried i didn’t ovulate as I didn’t get a proper positive result but my temp spiked yesterday and has gone higher again today after a CD 15 noticeable dip so I’m really happy my chart seems to be looking good! One more day of high temps and I’ll be sure I ovulated.

@Cruz86 - I think that ovulation occurs after the initial surge which would be when you first see a peak as that spike prompts the egg release. I think you’re just seeing your LH take a while to go down which looks normal looking at the different types of LH surge. I think you’re covered :)

Effram · 11/10/2021 12:29

Happy Monday everyone... I have stopped testing because like @Firsttimetrier and @Cruz86 we are too tired to manage any more, we rustled up one last attempt last night and now will just play the waiting game! I'm due on 24th apparently. Really going to try and wait until then to test!

@Squiff70 usually luteul phase stays consistent so if you ovulated a couple of days later than normal, and it looks like you did, you would expect your period a bit later too. maybe the app just is going off your normal cycle length in the algorithm?

@Danani @Mummytobe93 how are you guys feeling today?

I have so much work to catch up on this week after last week being a right off because either a child or the childminder was off sick, so hoping that will keep me busy during the TWW!

Danani · 11/10/2021 12:35

@Effram well done you for managing to BD one more time!!! Very impressive! I hope all your efforts pay off hun! šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ€

I’m 2 DPO, nothing exciting is happening. BBT…I feel like is unreliable for me, because even though I’ve been taking it daily, it’s been at different times and I feel like some of those times I must have been half asleep and not done it right because I have a very raggedy line and it hasn’t detected O. I’m choosing not to panic yet, but annoying. I get my AF like clock work, and I get the EWCM and the positive OPKs, so hoping that I do ovulate and just the BBT is not the right method for me. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

AF for me is predicted next weekend - 23 or 24 October, so I’m right with you on that!
