It seems AF is coming to get me end of this week (Fri), so instead of feeling sorry for myself I’m trying to look forward to October and getting to try again! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Apparently LH pulses through the cycle so you can get faint lines throughout at any point

I’ve only recently fully understood how it works after watching coupe of videos such as this one

If I don't get my peak until over the weekend I think there will only be about 10 days between ovulation and when AF is due. I thought this was good when it comes to conceiving?

Yeah I was surprised too @Danani , I swear in my previous cycles the LH was gradually increasing over couple of days.
I must say I really doubt if I tracked my ovulation properly up until this cycle! Looking at my calendar from the last couple of months I think
I made some major mistakes😬

I came across a website which explains three different types of surges (see the pic). You can have rapid surge, an “up and down” one and one that last couple of days.

Btw, having some cramps randomly this evening. Never been one of these people who get ovulation cramps, wonder if that’s what it is? Kinda intense and painful, bit like period cramps (which I also don’t get btw) - does anyone get those around ovulation? Is this normal? 👀

So just to get my head round it @Mummytobe93, the tests don't gradually get darker as you're coming up to peak time? They could be 'darker' one day and then fainter the next? Does that make sense? So it wouldn't be day 1 faint line, day 2 darker line, day 3 peak, for example? X

Trying to take a relaxed approach is hard work, cos its just not happening 🤣🤣 my app says im about 4/5dpo but I think I only had ewcm yesterday! So maybe today is only 1dpo, which totally confuses when I might next have AF arrive. App is usually spot on, maybe 1 or 2 days off on the odd month. The tww is draining already 🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏿‍♀️

@Cruz86 it can vary but basically yes - you can go from low to peak to low in less than 24 hrs with no gradual increase. I’d continue to test at least twice a day until around CD20 - if you can’t detect peak that means you probably ovulated before CD, which would not be weird given you’ve got pretty standard cycle length. Did you manage to DTD between CD 10-14 ? Xx

I started Googling and went straight down the rabbit hole regarding when the egg is actually released after you detect surge in your urine - so apparently it’s on average between 12-24 hrs (though it can be even 36 hrs I think) and then after that it has got a lifespan of max 24 hrs. Which means that if my peak happened on Wednesday at 8 pm, the egg could be released not until yesterday’s evening, just before I DTD, which would be a perfect timing.
On the other hand, if my egg was released after only 12 hrs since my surge (7 am yesterday) that means it had to wait around 16 hrs for the sperm…
And on top of that I’m even starting to doubt the time of my peak, because the fact that I detected it at 8 pm doesn’t mean it happened at that time, it could’ve happened before that🤡 😂
I need to leave it before I drive myself crazy!

I think I'm out this month as DH working away. We DTD on CD10 early doors before he left.. I used CB Digital Ovulation and got a static smilie on CD 14 so app predicted O CD15. However I ran out of tests sticks and didn't have for morning CD14 so didn't test till late evening but I doubt that would of made much of difference when I tested on day so think there's no chance this month 😔

Was wondering what O test strips yous use? I want to get for next cycle as be so much cheaper and can test a bit more to get a more accurate idea of when O happens. Also seen some of yous have a app to compare O tests can I ask what they are called? Can I use any cheap O strips for apps?
Think I'd still use CB as well but wouldn't test as earlier with them until cheapies showed something progressive.

Sorry for silence ladies. Had no childcare for last couple of days as childminder off sick so had my hands full. My youngest has also started grtting up at 4.30 every day so I've been having to go to bed by 8 to survive esp with having to have middle of the night sex when my husband gets in from work too 😴 we missed Thursday night but managdd the others since Sunday.

Everything predicted O to be yesterday but I haven't seen a surge yet, I just figured I'd missed it. But temp drop this morning so natural cycles now says O tomorrow... I would like to just know soon as we are knackered!

I got my bbt temp rise today so I'm happy! I must of ovulated yesterday (around 48 hours after my first peak on ovulation tests).
I haven't written much on here but just wanted to say what a lovely supportive thread this is and wishing everyone lots of luck! Hopefully lots of BFPs this month and congrats to those who already have! ☺️

Hi ladies sorry ive not been posting on here trying not to get obsessive about TTC i took a test when i woke up at 6am this morning im not due AF until the 13/14th but bought a poas clear blue early detection test (im impatient) within 30/60seconds i got a very faint line hubby is struggling to see it and you do have to look very closely am i going mad?

@Vwhite I think I can see it!! Camera quality is a bit blurry, does your husband have a clearer camera? Or try to take another pic 😊

@luckyJasmin here are a few more photos its a bit clearer in life and im using the tests as early as possible im 11dpo according to my app
