Hi, I had an early loss last month at 5 weeks. It has been 5 weeks since then, I had negative tests a couple of days later. I still haven't came on yet. I don't know when to expect to start but I've had cramping for the past 5 days. Me and OH have not been using protection as we still want to conceive. I did a few frer tests since sunday and they had a vvvv faint line, like barely able to see. These came up within the time frame and had colour. Although they have been completely negative today, imcluding a negative digital test. I don't believe I am pregnant. But I just want to know others experiences and when they had their first period after a loss and how long it took to convince afterwards. Thank you.

I had surgical management for a loss towards the end of January and got a BFP in August. I would wait a few days and test again and if its still only faintly positive you may be able to phone the EPU for them to do a blood test. They'll know if it's residual HCG or a new pregnancy. Fingers crossed for you.

Thank you for your response. I'm sorry for your loss, glad you have your bfp now and everything is going well for you. I'm still getting really faint lines. But I don't feel like I am so I'm not going to test again now. How long until AF came back for you?

How confusing for you. Would you consider requesting a blood test? I had a very complicated loss, all sort of wrong diagnoses etc and it took 5months for my period to come back. Had very high HCG but no actual baby formed and I was something like 8weeks so I wouldn't worry you'll be waiting that long.

I think if things are still the same next week I will go and ask for one. It's more the not knowing, rather af just turn up so it's a new cycle and can start again then this limbo phase. I had a similar loss to this a couple of years ago but things went back to normal 4 weeks later. Sorry yours was complicated can't even imagine all that confusion too. X

I had a 8week-ish (not 100% sure) loss and it took 4 months to stop bleeding and get to 0 HCG and another 2 to get back to normal periods. But it was ectopic so I dont know how much of it was a result of that.

The waiting is absolutely horrible, I feel for you! Wishing you good news soon.

Sorry for your loss BlijEI. Its hard knowing what our bodies are doing. I think I've attached a picture of a test I did this morning, it's slightly darker in person. It is darker today then it has been but I don't want to get my hopes up because I've had indent and evap lines on frer tests before.
