Caffeine

Did you cut out caffeine while ttc?

I've seen conflicting info online about whether it actually makes a difference while ttc. Obviously if I get a bfp I will cut down but DH has mild low sperm count so we could be trying a long time.
I work long days and nights so need coffee to function.

Yes, I have. I substitute with one cup of water processed decaff a day. I thought I used to really need and depend on it but I don't miss the caffeine now at all.

@fairgame84 I am on tea now. Use to drink about 3 cups of coffee a day!

I won't touch coffee when TTC. See if you can move to tea and even that in small amounts. Good luck 🤞🏻

I didn’t. When I was pregnant I was still having 1 cup a day as 1 cup is perfectly normal.

I was drinking coffee excessively(6-8cups). Like you I needed it to function, had 2 losses so I got stricter with myself and cut down 2-3 whilst TTC and now on decaff as currently pregnant. There could be more to it but I'd say it is a good decision to reduce intake.

I was also wondering about this. I usually switch over to mainly decaf / caffeine free tea as soon as I get a positive ovulation test and then switch back to normal if AF arrives, but I don't know if it's really helping.

I usually have 3-4 cups per day. I'll try and cut down. I struggle so much to get going in a morning without it.
I don't want to switch to tea as it's not really any better caffeine wise and I don't particularly like it.
I'll have to hit the Vimto and Robinsons and make a proper effort.

Never even considered it to be honest. Took me 13 months to conceive my DS but not sure caffeine was to blame for that. 3 - 4 cups doesn’t sound excessive to me if you’re not having any other caffeine products.
