Ubiquinol causing early ovulation?

Hey ladies! I just wondered if anyone has experience of taking ubiquinol and noticing a change in their cycles? Last month I ovulated afew days earlier than usual and this month I'm showing signs of potentially ovulating even earlier, like WAY too early (before the egg is mature!) The only new thing is the ubiquinol supplement. I've searched around mumsnet but can't find much on it!! Thanks ladies xx

Hi, I'm also taking the ubiquinol version of CoQ10 (everyday) and I ovulate right on time (CD15). How early are you ovulating?

Thanks for your reply x I usually ovulate cd 13/14 but last month it was day 11 and this month I have EWCM on day 7! (Usually only get EWCM the day before and day of ovulation). Fertility monitor said not fertile this morning and wondering if I've missed the peak! Xx

EWCM can precede ovulation by a few days so I don't think you've missed your peak! You may find you ovulate around CD11 again. I can't 100% say its the ubiquinol causing it but if you're worried, maybe stopping would be best. Obviously CD11 is not normal for you but it could just be one of those cycles. Some variation in your cycle is normal. I can ovulate between CD13 and CD16 but CD14/CD15 is more common for me.

Hi girls I stumbled upon your post whilst looking up on CoQ10 side effects. My cycles are pretty regular with a good flow and have been for as long as I can remember. This cycle I started taking supplements containing CoQ10 (Proceive max) and had my period 3 days early which is very unusual for me. Also, it’s not a healthy flow. I’ve found that it’s more spotting than a good flow. Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this? I’m not sure whether to stop taking the supplements as it’s altered my cycles perhaps in a bad way.

Hi @Tinkerbell098 so I ended up having another cycle where I ovulated earlier than usual. So the two cycles I took ubiquinol I ovulated early (just by a couple of days) but it didn't affect anything negatively and I actually got my BFP on the second cycle by taking it. I would say as long as your follicular and luteal phases remain an ok length then don't worry x good luck ❤️

@newtolineofduty thanks for the reply and huge congratulations! Hope you are well and everything is going smoothly for you. The original plan was to try these supplements for 3 months so I’ll keep an eye on my ovulation and periods for the next couple of cycles and decide if it’s altering it too much. I just found this period to be very strange as it does not look normal in appearance at all.

@Tinkerbell098 thank you hun! it's amazing what vitamins can do to your body but I honestly wouldn't worry hun-it's a perfectly safe supplement that lots of people take just for general well-being. I think it takes 90 days to have a positive impact on your eggs so yesterday I'd just monitor for afew cycles xx
