Sickness before positive test?

Hi all, so i have had painful boobs for a few days (this is normal for me approaching my period) however i have been feeling nauseous (this is not normal for me). Tested this morning and got a BFN. This evening i felt sooo sick then brought up all my dinner... i felt much better shortly after that!
I have been ttc but am sure its waay to early to get symptoms even if i was, my period isn't due for 5/6 days.
Has anyone had sickness before a missed period and before a positive test and actually been pregnant?!

I should add how much more intense the painful boobs have gotten - literally this evening they are baaad! They really hurt!!

Hello, I was extremely nauseous and actually sick once from 16th-21st June, then my boobs started to get sore. I took a test on 30th June, BFN, started feeling sick again and took a test on 9th July BFP!

I am never, ever nauseous or sick so I just knew! I'm 14+3 now and the dates line up exactly.

@theviolet oh wow, you had to wait quite some time for your BFP then?! I home i am, however I don't feel pregnant or have any other symptoms - i had a MC in march but with that pregnancy I was constantly going to the loo, crying all the time and just felt pregnant!
Did you have any other symptoms this early? Or just feeling nauseous ? :)

I had what I thought were period pains in the 10 days-ish before the BFP, but that's all apart from feeling quite sick/sore boobs. I think I probably would have got an earlier BFP if I had tested again sooner after the 30th or maybe if I'd used a more senstive test then, but I just couldn't be bothered, we'd been trying for a year and a half by that point and I was very used to disapointment!

I've been experiencing sickness already also OP. And I am just about a week DPO.

@theviolet would you be able to please describe the types of pains you had that you thought were period? I think I am expediting then currently. It's a dull ache for me and mainly one side.

Just light cramps, nothing out of the ordinary at all!

@theviolet thank you- similar to mine but more a dull ache. Glad to hear you got your BFP congrats 🥳

@theviolet i too have had some light cramps, however today i do feel less sicky... but i have been feeling sick more in the evenings so ill update on that one later ! Haha

I done an ultra early digital this morning however it was a dodgy test and didn't turn on at all :( ima try again in the morning if neg then ill wait and see if my AF comes or not before testing again xx

I don't know if this helps (probably not) but I had really intense boob pain last week coupled with feeling nauseous etc. Period turned up this morning.

Unfortunately I think you just need to wait a bit longer to get a better idea, as frustrating as that is!

I did when I got pregnant with my son, now 3. AF was 5 days away and I felt sick every evening. I was never actually sick and had no other symptoms, but got my BFP the day my period was due!

So this literally just happened to me. I had nausea for about five days really early on and did loads of Googling and thought I must be just making it up in my head. Did a test 10dpo and negative so was certain I was losing it. Missed AF on Saturday so tested with a faint positive and then again yesterday (16dpo) and stronger positive. I think it really depends on your body and how sensitive it is to hormonal changes. I get horrendous periods and mood swings so I always wondered how much the hormonal changes in pregnancy will hit. Either way wait until a couple of days after your AF if you can and good luck!!

Definitely wait until you are late now to test. Totally agree with PP, it's so dependent on your body, length of your cycle, and pot luck as to when you get a positive!

I also forgot to mention that I also had the mythical implantation bleeding at the same time I started to feel nauseous but I get ovulation bleeding so I thought it was just a worse one than usual! Don't know how I left that bit out!

I think I'm looking for symptoms now 😂 i have had a metallic taste in my mouth since about 9am, even got one of my colleagues to check if my mouth was bleeding some how... but I'm unsure if its real or just full hope convincing myself if that makes sense !

@theviolet i have had no implantation bleeding - on my last (what was also my first) pregnancy that unfortunately i lost i did have an implantation bleed... however i am only 11 DPO.
My last pregnancy i got a BFP 8 days before my AF was due!! But lost it very early at about 6 weeks :(
This next week is going to draaaag! Xx

Not sure if it was psychological but I vomited in the morning before I took my pregnancy test. I knew my period was late at this point but didn't think for a second that I was pregnant. Me vomiting while brushing my teeth that morning (never happened before) was why I went to get a test not because of late period.

My sister vomited three days in a row, she thought she'd overdone it the weekend prior celebrating a birthday then her period was late a week later.

AF has not arrived yet, 2 days late however i have tested this morning and 2 days ago both BFN!
I think maybe it was the start of a sickness bug that then stopped and came back, i spent the entire day from 4am to 11:30pm on Saturday throwing my guts up! Literally couldn't even keep water down! But that has passed now :( just got to wait for AF to arrive and try again next month :(

Really interesting to read of sickness before a BFP! Wishing you all baby dust this month or next :-). I am hoping October is my month.

Oh no sorry to hear you were poorly. I've bought a FRER but trying to hold off taking it until AF is due even though you can test early so I'm not going ...oh well maybe it's too early and wasting money by being impatient and constantly taking tests when it's too soon 😆 equally I did this before and had a CP which really messed with my head so that's in the back of my mind. Might have to get OH to hide the tests until Thursday 😆

Caved and took the FRER as still feeling rubbish...BFN. Still feeling sick and tired and no signs of impending AF yet. Due tomorrow/Thursday (28-30day cycle). Just want to know why I feel so crap 😫

Im on cycle day 34 and still BFN and no AF as of yet

So i got a very very very faint BFP last night then AF showed this morning 😢 try again next cycle i guess !
