Ovulation - before, during or after?

When is the best time to ttc? Before, during or after ovulation? I don’t check my temperature or use ovulation sticks. I check my cervical mucus.

I’ve researched it, but I seem to get conflicting advice. I’d appreciate some clarification!

Before and during, not after.

Thanks, that’s what we did some articles say before, some day during, so I guess it’s best to try both!

Before and during. But for example if you took OPKs and get a positive you could actually ovulate 12-36 hours after that positive test so you can carry on DTD for a couple more days after a positive test.

You sound so well organised!
Just a note to say, relax enjoy yourselves and try not to add pressure. It's so easy to obsess over exact timings. Dtd a day later or having a day off may work better for your wellbeing, so please don't beat yourself up if this is how it goes.

Sorry to butt in. Can I ask about how you track, you mention that you just use EWCM to track. Would you consider the first day you see this to be day of ovulation?

First time TTC and have used the clear blue fertility monitor, which stated I ovulated yesterday. And today was just high. But today is the first day I've noticed EWCM so wondering if actually the monitor is wrong, and perhaps I'm in the lead up to ovulation now. Would you have EWCM for a few days in your cycle?
