4 Dpo and going mad

Anyone else in the tww ? Currently 4dpo and trying all the best to keep my head on and go about my day but I swear this is always the worst part of the month. Anyone else like that and waiting out these dreaded two weeks again?

If so can talk to me tell me about yourself. Are you planning to test ? I haven't decided if I'll test this month or wait it out but the waiting is already killing me.

@MrsM29 Congratulations! That's great news! 💐 Wishing you all the best!

@sarahtom23 I think I might test Sunday (11dpo).

I watched a YouTube video this morning of a fertility expert who said there's no way any symptoms before implantation (6-12 dpo) can be pregnancy related as your body won't know it's pregnant yet. Any symptoms will just be due to an increase in progesterone, as with your normal cycle. I'm really trying to chill out with the symptom spotting now... 'trying' being the key word haha - easier said than done!

Selena33 · 22/09/2021 22:28

Hi @sarahtom23 all well thanks. I already tested but obvs too early so will try to wait and repeat on Sat or Sun!

Ah that’s so useful to know @bestwisheskindregards I’m also trying too as in the past I had ‘symptoms’ and it was nothing more than pms xx

Firsttimetrier · 23/09/2021 06:15

I think I’m just going to wait for AF which is next Wednesday as I’m not hopeful that this month has worked.

However, I’m off work on Monday, so I’ll probably end up doing a test then 😂.

weathervane123 · 23/09/2021 09:31

@MrsM29 Congratulations! Flowers Flowers Good luck to you!

I'm joining all the other early testers out there this cycle. 8 dpo today and bfn, of course! Used some Boots dip sticks, which aren't that sensitive at all (25 mIU) so it really was madness.

Last cycle I held off until 11dpo and it wasn't even that hard. This time, because I'm not convinced we dtd enough, I'm desperate to know! I also think that conceiving four times in a row is unlikely, which is making things worse. I really want to try and work out if I do have hyperfertility/an unfussy womb.

Can't say I've got any 'symptoms' atm. My sore nips (from ovulation) have now gone back to normal. I had a really vivid dream the other night, but that's about it. I'm not overly tired either. What I have had is some discomfort in the ovary that has the cyst. On the fence about whether to bother the doc with it. Sigh.

Amyc94 · 23/09/2021 19:21

Hey everyone 🤍

Would you mind if I joined too?

We are on cycle 10 of trying and currently 9dpo.

I am trying not to test early this month and just see what happens but that's easier said than done and I may change my mind if I'm in the house alone and nothing to do 😂

I've been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, endo and possible PCOS, does anyone else have experience TTC with these?

Huge congratulations to anyone that has got their BFP already this month 🎉

flossy980 · 23/09/2021 19:51

@Amyc94 I also have an under active thyroid, as long as your levels are correct you shouldn't have any more difficulty conceiving to my knowledge. Obviously not successfully conceived myself other then when I had an early loss, but just basing that off people I know who also have one. Just once you fall pregnant you'll get growth scans and consultant appointments with an endocrinologist to keep an eye on your levels x

Selena33 · 23/09/2021 20:21

Hi all and welcome new posters!

We are getting so close to the end of this tww, although not there yet!
@weathervane123 I too stupidly tested today again (9dpo) using a frer and I got a v v v faint line/shadow. Can’t tell if it’s an evap line or a v faint positive, I really have to squint to see it. Did a clear blue and was bfn. So confused argh and a bag of nerves. Note to myself: do not test early.

@Amyc94 Hi! Sorry I don’t have experience with that but I wish you best of luck 🤞🏼

Hope you all had a good day

bestwisheskindregards · 24/09/2021 08:13

Welcome @Amyc94!

I'm 9dpo today and still having spotting (day 4 of spotting) - up until now, it's been more like pink/light brown CM but today it's darker brown and I'm having some mild cramping. Really feel like AF is just on its way early 😔. It's only my first month TTC so it's fine if it's a BFN this month but if the spotting is AF slowly arriving really early, it means my luteal phase has been too short. AF is due Weds 29th.

It's normal for my cycle to vary from 24-30 days and to spot for a few days before AF but I've never spotted on CD21 before. I'm driving myself mad with worry that something will be wrong and make this TTC journey difficult. Hoping I'm just overthinking.

I hope everyone is holding up ok!

sunnyside257 · 24/09/2021 08:31

Help! I have these tests. I'm 9dpo. Is it still too early to use one of these?

4 Dpo and going mad
sunnyside257 · 24/09/2021 09:20

Okay nevermind. I obviously went ahead and took a test anyways. Am I crazy or is there a line??

It's extremely faint and not really able to pick it up on a photo without a backlight. So excuse my mad photo Grin

What do you ladies think?

Pugmumm · 24/09/2021 09:41

@sunnyside257 there is a line there !! Congrats OP. Test again Grin

sunnyside257 · 24/09/2021 10:25

Thanks! Anyone think it's possible this is a false positive? I've read reviews about this rapid response test and there have been afew reports of false positives!

Is there any other reliable brand that I could use to double check?

weathervane123 · 24/09/2021 10:39

@sunnyside257 I can see it. Never used the rapid response before but at 9dpo I understand why you're dubious as they aren't as sensitive as the Early Result version from First Response. I'd pick up one of those instead and leave it a day before testing again to be sure. Good luck!

@Selena33 that sounds promising! Test again and keep us posted.

I tested again this morning (9dpo) and nothing. Last time I got my bfp at 11dpo but I think it would've shown by 9 or 10 if I'd tested earlier, so I'm not optimistic. I haven't had any symptoms either. Oh well! My body probably could do with a break given I've either been pregnant, miscarrying, or recovering since April.

sarahtom23 · 24/09/2021 12:09

@Selena33 I've tested and nothing today too. Will wait until Sunday now as it's so deflating.

@sunnyside257 definitely looks promising my test was blank so definitely looks good congratulations

jessharra · 24/09/2021 12:14

So I tested today with a fr and cb what do you ladies think ? I'm not sure if I should get excited or not just yet? Will test again tomorrow to see if darker but do you see the lines ?

sunnyside257 · 24/09/2021 12:18

@jessharra - I see faint lines!!

Selena33 · 24/09/2021 12:31

@bestwisheskindregards could that be implantation bleeding? Have you tested?

@sunnyside257 and @jessharra yay that looks very promising, can see lines on both

@weathervane123 I totally get you after having had 2 mc this year (1 mmc and 1 mc).
I did test again this morning with cb and there is a line so I’m taking it as a positive! I really hope this one sticks though!

Selena33 · 24/09/2021 12:34

@sarahtom23 you are not out until af comes but yes it’s so disheartening. Don’t lose the hope it will happen x

bestwisheskindregards · 24/09/2021 12:37

@sunnyside257 @jessharra I can see lines on both. Looks very promising! Definitely test again tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

@Selena33 It's possible that it could be implantation bleeding but I don't want to get my hopes up as it doesn't sound super common. And because spotting straight before my period isn't abnormal for me so it could still be that. Still keeping my fingers crossed. I haven't tested yet - I'm trying to hold out until at least Sunday (11dpo).

jessharra · 24/09/2021 12:39

Thanks ladies I'm really hopeful 🥰 I've got fingers crossed for all you too

Selena33 · 24/09/2021 12:40

@bestwisheskindregards I see, let us know how it goes

sarahtom23 · 24/09/2021 12:40

@Selena33 I know never out until ad comes but I swear every negative tests gets me down.

So happy for you ladies I know it will happen for us eventually

bestwisheskindregards · 25/09/2021 07:36

I couldn't resist anymore and took a test this morning at 10dpo (FR early detection) and it was a BFN. Gutted. Hoped to be one of those lucky couples where it worked first time.

Ah well - just waiting for AF now then and onto next month.
