Recurrent Chemical Pregnancies

Hi All,

Am hoping someone can give me some advice as I have had 3 chemical pregnancies in the last 3 months, the latest of which I'm going through now.

I have spoke to my GP who hadn't been terribly helpful so far, but I'm having bloods later today to get thyroid levels as a first step.

I've ordered myself some Gelatinised Maca Root Capsules which I've read can help, but I'm wondering if anyone who has been through this themselves and has gone on to have a healthy pregnancy, can you offer any advice??

I should say I'm 43, so time isn't on my side.

Thanks in advance 😊

Yes! 39, I had 5 chemicals in a row earlier this year. Plus two mcs and another chemical. All in 16 months. I have been tested for everything. I have slightly low thyroid so on meds for that. I have high natural killer cells so on progesterone pessaries and immune suppressing steroids (prednisolone) to stop my immune system killing pregnancies off. I also have the MTHFR mutation so (synthetic) folic acid makes me ill and b-deficient and I am taking prenatals with (methyl)folate instead, which is more bioavailable. Also coq10 600mg a day and vit d. Time will tell whether it helps. If not we try ivf My money is on the immune system being crux of it. Search MN for the “pred threads” if you are interested.

My fertility consultant says at least I am getting pregnant. A good sign, although dispiriting to have it fail every month as you will know…
