Hi,
I’m a total newbie and wanting to get some people’s experiences on ovulation.
I have 2 kids conceived at 35 and 36 (number one conceived first try and number 2 a happy accident). I thought we were done but haven’t been able to shake the feeling of wanting another and now have decided to just go for it. Unfortunately I’m 40 now and will turn 41 in 2 months so I know time isn’t on my side.
I had a mirena in following DD2 but still got periods on it. I took the mirena out a few weeks ago and had a heavy period a few days after taking it out. I’ve been testing with OPKs religiously for the last 8 days and I’m now CD16 without any hint of ovulation. My AMH was tested and was pretty low (1.5). Unfortunately I haven’t really tracked my cycles for a long time and don’t really know how long my cycles are but think they are probably 28-30 days.

I’m just wondering when others ovulate in their cycle? I imagine the answer is that I need to be patient and see out this cycle to determine my cycle length and whether I ovulate this cycle but I’m driving myself crazy wondering about it. I don’t have any PCOS symptoms. I guess I’d also like to hear some good news stories of older mums who got pregnant naturally. I’ve already started on Q10, vit C, vit D and prenatals for what it’s worth.
