Ovulation buddies

Hey everyone, I'm hoping to find some lovely ladies to help me out while I'm ovulating. I should be ovulating in the coming days and I've order opks to trial this month as we've had no luck the last 6 month with good old trying. Can anyone help me know how they work. Do I pee on them and once I get the double lines does that mean we're okay to try or how do I go. I haven't done a test yet as they've just arrived.

Also if anyone else is ovulating this week and wants to keep me company I'd love that.

Hi OP. You should follow the instructions for whatever type you buy as they may be different. I use CB so a positive is a smiley face. More basic ones it will be a line as dark as the control line. I ovulate around CD12 so I usually start testing on CD9. A positive comes 24-36 hours before actual ovulation. You shouldn’t necessarily wait for a positive OPK before DTD but you should DTD on the day of the positive OPK and the next day if possible! Good luck

Generally I test in the afternoon after a minimum 3 hour hold x

@Hopefulhedgehog thanks for replying so I've got the basic ones that you dip and the lines come up. I'm about to go do my first one. I'm not sure when I ovulate I'm on CD 10 but not sure when I usually ovulate I have a 28 day cycle almost every month. We dtd yesterday and was planning today anyway but not the opks have arrived I want to work out my ovulation day to be sure. I'll go do a test and update shortly

Would this mean I'm beginning to start ovulation. When I added to the app is says 16%

Can't add the picture but it's faint line and says 16 % high on the app that checks LH.

@holz92 I’m CD9 today and will be starting my opks tomo. I have clear blue purple ones left from last month that give the flashing smileys.
But have used the dip ones before.

If you test morning and afternoon once you get a control line as bold or bolder than the test line. Than you have your LH surge. And means you will ovulate very soon usually 12-36 hours after that surge.

Mine goes from very light to very dark line from one day to the next whereas others have a very gradual rise over a few days. Just keep testing and you’ll hopefully see a pattern

I'll definitely keep testing will do another first up tomorrow. Planning to dtd tonight anyway as I read that 5 days prior can help so no harm in trying right.

So this morning test was 21% so it's on a rose so I'm testing again this afternoon. It should go very dark at peak yes?

Anyone about to ovulate soon too ?

Did another test today and it's 39% so I think tomorrow it might peak for me.

@holz92 hey I'm currently in my tww but happy to keep you company I'd say just keep testing with the opks when you see them peak your about to ovulate 24/36hrs later I think it is. We always try to stud on the days leading up to ovulation to better our chances.

@sarahtom23 how you doing today ? I'm currently leading up to ovulation still did another tests says 39% so will do another tonight I thought I'd peak today but think I may have dated out now .

Okay ladies first time I've seen the peak come up. So I'll ovulate tomorrow I'm guessing. Should I keep testing or just dtd and not worry about anymore ?
