False strong positives???

Hello, just wondered if anybody has experienced similar. I am 8 weeks post miscarriage and still have a small amount of residual hcg. Had lots of scans and nothing is retained.

After a scan and blood test on 08/09 I thought that my period started on 09/09 but it hasn't been like a normal period at all and has now completely stopped.

I have now gone from getting faint positives to strong lines that look darker each time. My beta hcg on 08/09 was 10 (same day as second test in photo) and on 12/09 was 7 (same day as bottom test) so epu are saying it's not a new pregnancy and just residual hcg.

I just can't understand why the lines are getting so much darker. Has anybody had a similar experience??

Is your urine more concentrated? That will affect the lines.
Have they given you any advice for how long it’ll take to go negative? If they aren’t going needs to be looked in to.

@lking679 nope they have all been taken first thing in the morning. Epu have just said to stop testing but last Wednesday they said let us know if it's not negative in another week or two. Think they've had enough of me!

@losingmymind44 I was in a similar position. I had a mmc on 09 June and was still getting positives until 14 August. Mine seemed to get a bit darker towards the end and then went negative. I thought I may have had a chemical but bloods showed that the hcg went down steadily

This may not be what you want to hear, I had hcg In my system for something like 5 months! I was extremely dissapointed as I had finally gotten my period back after months of waiting and got a faint positive, it was just the FRER picking up the residual :(
