Metallic taste but BFN

It's driving me mad. I started TTC in January, and since had a chemical followed by an ectopic in June which ended in the removal of my right tube. It's my first month TTC since.
I wasn't holding up much hope, just went for it as I know the chances of conceiving aren't that high each month, especially with only one tube and also being 37.
Fast forward to 2WW, was really keeping my cool until I started getting that metallic taste in my mouth. I only ever had that when I was pregnant, both times. Also food related once or twice but I can exclude that.
So obviously I started thinking hmmm maybe I am pregnant, I mean it's not impossible right? I had a really bad headache yesterday when I was 11dpo and tested, because I wanted to know if I can take a pain relief. Was a BFN. It was second wee in the morning, but I think if I start having those symptoms, hcg must already be detectable by tests no?
I'm going mad here. Anyone experienced something similar maybe? I don't even know why I started this thread, I'm usually a really logical person and I know I will get my answer in the next two days, but it's still driving me bonkers.
