Pregnant or menopause ?

I’m 45 and my last period was 23/7 and I had spotting on 12th aug , my periods are all over the place some months 20/28/35/40 days , I’ve been having symptoms , backaches sore nips , being nauseous and going off my cuppa also exhausted !! I have done some tests and they have a faint line , but some tests come back with one line 🙄 I’m kinda loosing my mind , any advice would be great I’m going to the docs next week x thanks ladies xx

Hello - a lot of menopause/Petrie menopause symptoms can mimic pregnancy and vice versa. It’s very possible you are pregnant. Have you done any more tests?

I’ve done lots of tests and I get a positive on blue dyes but a negative on pinks , I’ve spoken to my epu and they said they hate the blues and only believe the pinks so apparently I’m not , but my doctor won’t see me as my age it’s most likely menopause and to wait til I eventually come on . So helpful advice all round … not !

Wow how frustrating and unhelpful ! Have you tried first response? You probably have hit just a thought Hope you get answers soon - it must feel like you are in limbo. Could you maybe have a private scan if you don’t get your period in another week or so? Hope you get the result you are wanting. xx

My great grandmother got pregnant at 49, so it's definitely possible.

OP I would maybe try a clear blue digital?
