Hi Everyone,

Has anyone had any success with Isoflavones recently. I know there are a couple of old threads around.

My cycle is very long approx 51 days. What dosage should i take and what days?

Have been TTC for almost 2 years. I never get a LH surge on the ovulation sticks. Doctors says my FSH and LH were normal ( taken while I was on my period. Have my first consultant appt coming up but not sure what that will entail. Just want to try anything really!

thank you

I took soy isoflavones, but can't remember the dosage but it didn't help at all. Have you asked the Dr about trying you with Metformin? All of my blood tests came back fine, except testosterone was a little low but meant no pcos. Dr suggested trying me on Metformin anyway as it's been known to regulate cycles. Two weeks later I had a normal period and four weeks after that a positive pregnancy test. We'd been trying for number two for over a year but periods were really irregular. I also never had an LH surge so pretty sure I wasn't ovulating as periods were really light. It's my due date today so expecting a baby any day now so I highly recommend Metformin. Good luck!

thank you. I have a long awaited appointment in a couple of weeks so will ask for metformin. I also have irregular cycles and PCOS has been ruled out.

@Pottytraining37473 did you end up trying soy??

I’m looking for ladies who are going to try soy next cycle as I would like to hear your experience from it. It gets so lonely when you are ttc for long time and can only talk to your husband about it.

I Would like to try soy next cycle as I did it last cycle

FlyOnTheWall89 · 11/12/2021 06:52

@HFagra I’m thinking of trying it next cycle too. Currently on cycle 8…. Feels like 80. X

growingmybaby · 12/12/2021 13:01

I took this one cycle (cycle 9) and im now 37+2

HFagra · 13/12/2021 12:50

@growingmybaby that’s great, congratulations Smile

@FlyOnTheWall89 when will you be taking si?

Last cycle I took si from day 2-6 and I took very low doses. I felt some difference from it like more ewcm and it didn’t change my ovulation day or my cycle length. My cycle is usually 25 days.

Today I’m on cd 5 I will be taking SI from day 3-7 and my plan is to be taking 120 mg all the days and possibly upping the dose the last day to 180mg.

I do not have any side effect from this

Other pills I am taking:

Iron complex from now ( until ovulation)
Folate
D vitamin
After ovulation I’m going to try taking baby aspirin

HeyFloof · 13/12/2021 13:37

I used soy isoflavones and got pregnant, I think I took 180/200 on days 3-7. Unfortunately my pregnancy ended at 15+1 but they definitely worked in the getting pregnant.

Pottytraining37473 · 13/12/2021 13:59

Hi,

I did try them for about two cycles. Unfortunately didn’t get pregnant but they did make my cycle length shorter. I tried inositol which helped regulate my periods so I am hoping that it will help me get pregnant
